This motel has been around for decades. It is well-maintained. Handy to everything. Room was great. Everything worked just fine. Had a rustic feel to the place which is good. Staff is friendly and attentive. Will definitely return next time I'm in the area.

The air conditioner kept turning off. You need to have an electrician check the power. Something is fluctuating causing the breaker to turn off. One time the unit was not turned on and the breaker still opened. 2. You need to fumigate your rooms. I found a tick crawling across the bathroom floor. 3. You need to change your beds....

Neat small town location, on Vermont/New York border; an old time motel that has been nicely updated, but maintains the past. Friendly owner and comfortable quiet room and location. As it was Saturday evening, we located a Catholic Church, and enjoyed Mass on Sunday morning. Will return, when we travel north and east.

A comfortable stay in a very dated, yet clean mom and pop motel. The room has all of the amenities: tv, dvd player, microwave, fridge, hair blower. Furniture is old. Carpet is old. Curtains and blinds are old. A bit of a facelift would do wonders. Slept well!

My Amtrak train trip ended with a bus ride to get around track strewn with trees from a storm. Fated to reach my car at St. Albans' train station at midnight, I found the Swanton Motel as a relatively inexpensive option. The reviews on TripAdvisor reassured me that this family-owned motel would be clean, quiet, and comfortable. I arranged to...

This is a tiny, roadside-type motel in a tiny town in the corner of Vermont. That being said, it has been well-maintained and refurbished and nothing was lacking if you are looking for a stay in a clean, nicely kept room. The innkeeper apologized upon checkin that there was no phone in the room, which was no problem at all...

We came to Swanton for a short visit. Decided to stay at the Swanton Motel. This motel is close to the center of town, and only a short drive to St.Albans VT. The beds were comfortable and so were the pillows. The room was clean and safe. There was a microwave, mini fridge and a keurig. The people who run...

We stumbled upon the motel after leaving Canada late. We checked in at around 10pm and opened the room to be welcomed by a lovely fresh clean room with sparkling bathroom. The Wi-Fi was excellent too. I suspect the rooms have been recently renovated because the sign outside betrays the quality of the interiors. I will happily return.

We were on a motorcycle trip (5 men) and needed rooms for Friday & sat. nights, 8/14 & 8/15/15. We rented on phone site unseen as this was only place in the area with openings. Myself, my brother and his son rented a two bedroom suite for $292.00 for the two days. The place was relatively clean, had some food...

The Swanton Motel is a basic, classic motel. The rooms were clean and had in room coffee service 9with Wolfgang Puck coffee), microwaves and a fridge, plus a high capacity ice machine available. There was free wifi, but is was slower than the cell service. This is very much a budget motel and a great value. About 1 mile from...
