The Auberge is well located. Our guests were nice and friendly. However, this place requires a major upgrade to my standards, especially considering the price that was charged. Humidity and moldy smells are predominant.

Merci d'avoir pris de temps d'evaluer votre experience a l'Auberge de Stowe. It was a pleasure to host you and your friends. We are sorry that we did not meet your expectations. Past reviewers have used "old," "rundown," "in need of an over hall, sprucing, TLC..." Unfortunately, many people conflate age with condition. But the condition of our inn is...

My husband and I were on a motorcycle trip- arrived at this B&B after a solid drenching in the late evening rain. The proprietress claimed that she did not have a dryer for us to use- hospitable...? The place was vacant, but we got a mean spirited closet of a room The bed clothes certainly looked and felt like this...

Thank you for taking the time to write review. We are sorry you deemed your experience so bad as to give a one star review two months after the fact. More timely feedback offers us the chance to engage meaningfully with our guests, which is one of things we love about being innkeepers. We are also sorry that you did...

Shawn and Chantal are gracious hosts and along with Max (black lab), they made us feel right at home. The beds were comfortable and had a selection of comfy pillows which provide a restful sleep. We had a corner room with windows on two sides, which provided a cool breeze on the hot summer nights. Breakfasts were always accompanied with...

Shawn and Chantal (the owners/innkeepers) were very warm and welcoming upon our arrival. They were very helpful in making suggestions for dining as well informing us we were only an hour away from a spot we didn't think we could squeeze into this trip (we thought it was farther). They always said if we needed anything let them know and...

The concept of staying in a b and b is that you are guests in someones home and Shawn and Chantel authentically create that experience. Both are former ski instructors and they bought the inn years ago so they could "live the dream" of bringing their kids up in a ski community. The rooms are comfy, there is a classic...

Our initial view was that the B&B was run down and in need of a good overhaul but when we went inside it was very homely and rustic. Chantal and Shawn gave us a great welcome and lots of information about the area. Our room was No 6 at the back of the house away from the road noise (house...

The house is from the mid 1800s, but feels more charming than just old. Sort of like visiting grandmother's house. Yes it could use some sprucing up, but that is what makes it feel homier. Our hosts were terrific and did make us feel at home. Bed was very comfortable. The road in front is busy, but dies down to...

Auberge de Stowe is very comfortable; a little older than some other places, but good for the price. Shawn and Chantal are gracious hosts. Their bed and breakfast is conveniently located in Stowe; breakfasts are delicious, and Max the dog is a great new friend!

It was a pleasure meeting you and your daughter. We hope she had a wonderful time at camp. Thank you very much for your review in particular your perspective on the noise. We are sure it will be helpful to other potential guests.

My wife and I enjoyed immensely our stay with Shawn and Chantal. They are warm and welcoming folks and very helpful with all aspects of your stay. We have some dietary restrictions that they were happy to accommodate, and stayed to chat with us over breakfast. They have some fascinating stories and insights into life in Vermont. The room was...

It was lovely meeting you both and sharing our perspectives on so many things at breakfast. Thank you for taking the time to submit such a thoughtful and detailed review and also for being so considerate about letting us know when you would be arriving.

This little B&B is a nice place to stay with your family. The owners are lovely people and the breakfast was delicious, especially Chantal's ginger rhubarb jam, so superb. The room itself could certainly use some TLC, the rugs are old, beds are old and sunken, bathroom vinyl flooring moldy. You can tell it is an older home that is...

Thank you for taking the time to review our inn and for your kind comments on the innkeepers and breakfast. Since we have owned the inn, we have partially or totally renovated over 5 bathrooms about one every other year starting with the rooms that get the most use. Admittedly the one your were in was not one of them....
