Ruined my sisters 40th birthday! No valet, no bell service. We had a baby in tow and no bag help. Nice restaurant was closed. Pub restaurant had the worse service I’ve ever experienced. Had to ask for a menu, water, silverware, drinks, waited forever for everything and food was horrible and terribly overpriced! $25 for a bean burger!!! Hot chocolate was Swiss Miss not real. Left a day early due to an emergency and they changed me 50% plus billed my atrocious dinner twice! Stay elsewhere… this place is very poorly managed!
I have to first give a shout out to Dana… he exemplifies what any service business would want in an employee. First , my son and I strolled down to check out the spa and he went out of his way to give us a tour, offering towels and coffee to us both. Additionally, my wife lost a gold hoop earring earlier that day. She went down to look and Dana thought he saw something and searched the trash and found her earring. Unreal guy and very sincere person. The front desk, Roost restaurant team also terrific. We will be back.
The bathroom is in atrocious state of disrepair. Paint is off of the door and pealing off the walls. The electricity is in need of repair. Lights blinking in bathroom. Bedroom needs painting. Table where TV is all chipped. Needs replacement. However, the common areas in the hotel are nice.
Extremely overpriced-small bedroom and tiny bathroom overlooking a driveway with service trucks arriving. Booked 6 months ahead for a leaf trip. So many nicer places to stay for a much more reasonable price. We expected it to be amazing but we were very dissappointed. Nothing special unless you were there for the pool. We went to find a housekeeper to ask for a couple more pods of coffee for the room. Went to town as we did not even want to stay there to eat. Luckily only booked 1 night!
Resort is peaceful, sits in a beautiful view of the monutains. We were here 6 years ago and nothing has changed and we mean nothing. Place could use an update. TV in "the Notch" is way too small for the area. Fountain and indoor hottub needs updateing, stone is broken and metal around the area is rusted. The Roost is the only restuarant on site that is operational. Food is mediocre, never as hot as it should be. My husband sent his pasta dish back because it was cold and still was only slightly warm. The menu is very limited and when your there for more than a day or two you will tire of the choices quickly. We eneded up going outiside the resort and the local places are awesome. The Roost is severly overpriced especially for breakfast. The staff throughout the resort are great, more than willing to assist with anything needed. With regards to the room, the tub is ridicuoulsy high, they should all be removed and just have walk-in showers which are much safer option. There is no night life, even the bar shuts down by 10. Firepits are great and are wll stocked with wood.…
I spent close to 900 a night for a room that was equivalent to an old best western. There were panels of dirt on the walls near the bed, the furniture had warped veneer, and the bed was uncomfortable. The restaurant was under staffed and they let you know it. The waiter in the morning was also the busboy and take out person. I’m contrasting this hotel to the others I’ve stayed in on this trip and this was anything but top notch. Don’t waste your money here.
We had a couples massage with Heather and Marcia which was amazing. Then we went to the Roost for lunch. Delicious food and dessert. Pablo and Maria were so accommodating. Definitely should stop there! We go twice a year and they never disappoint.
My family ( 2 adults , 2 kids) stayed 6 nights in august. We really had an enjoyable time. PROS: Beautiful grounds Fantastic pools Very clean Lots to do Good food w great kids options Valet/doorman was a great guy! Tons of pool towels! CONS: Lousy front desk service !!!! Expensive Spa was difficult to deal with
We honeymooned here 30 years ago and have made several return trips. This time the food was over priced and mediocre, the service is obviously being impacted by lack of staff, and there was a lack of five star experience to go along with the 5 star price. We will not be returning.
Had a great stay in the fall - great tennis facilities, spa, pools, great food. The chefs were especially accommodating modifying items for our vegan diet. Enthusiastic, knowledgable tennis pros. Wonderful view and setting
