The location was so nice, right on Lake Champlain. Our second floor room had a beautiful view of the lake. We were close enough to Burlington if you needed to go there. But we found several other neat shops and stores more to our liking. Just a wonderful innkeeper, Jeannie, so very friendly full of information and breakfasts that were so yummy. Something for every taste. Vermont's finest. Highly recommend.

My adult daughter and I stayed here while participating in the Farm to Fork Fondo bicycle ride. Very comfortable property, perfectly located for exploring Champlain Island both by bicycle and car. Jeanne, the owner, personifies the friendliness of most VT people, and provides a very warm / home like atmosphere. Spotless clean.

Some clever Trip Advisor reader has probably looked at this lovely B&B on Google Maps, seen the mobile home next to it, and dismissed it. Too bad for such a person! Jeanne is a wonderful host, whose breakfasts are to die for and whose B&B is sparkling clean. There is a suite of two rooms downstairs and a single room upstairs. Definitely reserve the upstairs room. It is very large and has a sofa, two large armchairs, a balcony overlooking Lake Champlain, plenty of cabinet and closet space, a large bathroom with two sinks and a fridge. There are also wine glasses in the room, a very nice touch that I have not seen in any other B&B room anywhere. Jeanne put a lot of thought into this place. The rooms are situated in such a way that no room is directly above or beside any other room. The breakfasts, prepared by Jeanne herself, are delicious and nutritious. Heron's Way is what the B&B experience is all about.

Heron's Way is like coming home to family. Jean always make you feel like family. The rooms are large and comfortable. We have stayed in the upstairs king room with private balcony. The bed is wonderful, separate living room and very large bathroom with small fridge too. The balcony overlooks the lake with a spectacular view. We have also stayed in the first floor rooms. Comfy queen size bed and a complete separate sitting room, that converts to sleeping quarters if needed. Nice, clean private bath as well. The breakfast's are amazing! Waking up to the smell of fresh coffee and homemade coffee cake is fantastic. Each breakfast was a treat that we didn't want to end. Hot oatmeal, homebaked bread, fresh fruit, omelets, pancakes, waffles. The list goes on and on and everything was delightful. We have stayed here 5 times and came by boat. There is also a dock here! We also have been here several more times in the winter. Heron's Way cannot be beat!

Lovely rooms, VERY comfortable beds, and a great breakfast! We felt well taken care of and relaxed. A quick drive to beaches, state parks and charming restaurants and pubs and only twenty minutes or so from Burlington.

We loved the accommodation. Quiet and very "NewEnglandy". Jean is wonderful So attentive and warm and lovely. Was so wonderful to not be in the hustle and bustle of Burlington during a busy time of year to see the fall colors. The food was "comfort food"! Delicious. We are "sorta" healthy and were able to have oatmeal and fruit etc. Room was spacious, clean and warm.

We were fortunate to be Jeanne's guests at Heron's Way. She is a delightful person, full of local lore, a great cook, and such a generous soul! (We needed an iron, we could borrow hers. We needed an umbrella because we forgot ours - she offered us one. Our son was late and then had even more travel complications, and she generously accommodated us.) Her B&B is located right on Lake Champlain, so you could not ask for a better location. The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom spic and span, and the breakfast both healthy (local berries) and indulgent -- homemade peach muffins, eggs and delicious potatoes! This is a down home B&B, so don't expect a chic hotel; expect a low key home with lots of personal and sentimental knickknacks beloved over the years, and furniture that is sturdy, rather than stylish. Jeanne is a funny, warm ambassador to the area. Go visit her and you will learn about real Vermont hospitality.

My mother, daughter and I stayed one night while we were spending a long weekend that involved exploring the Champlain Islands and taking the ferry over to NY for the remainder of the weekend. Jeanne's home makes you feel right at home as does her welcoming nature. The view through all her windows is just gorgeous. We stayed in the Queen Suite which is on the main floor. It was perfect for the 3 of us as one room has a Queen bed and the other has two twins. They are connected by a private hallway that has a full private bathroom off of it. The twin room had a fridge (which she had stocked with water and drinks) as well as a microwave in it. The beds were so comfortable! The breakfast she offered was quite hearty so be prepared! She had coffee, tea, juice, fresh fruit, oatmeal, a delicious fresh baked fruit and maple coffee bread and then she made eggs to order with choices of meat and hashbrown potatoes! We were full all day! We also had the pleasure of meeting her neighbors as they joined us for breakfast. They were just as wonderful as Jeanne. We could of chatted all day with them. We are so glad we found this place and will definitely be staying again as it is a welcome change from the hotels in Burlington. We actually can't wait to return!

My husband and I spent 4 nights at Heron's Way in late August. The accommodations were perfect for us. Heron's way is very homey and has a laid back atmosphere. The owner Jeanne is very friendly and welcomes you into her home like you were family. We had the second floor room and it was spacious and comfortable. Jeanne is a great cook and the breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. The location is convenient to the Burlington area without actually being in the city. I would definitely stay here again.

There is so much wonderful things to say abuot this place and the lady who owns it. I very much so enjoyed the company, rooms, and food. It was a nice experience. We were able to ride the kayaks and enjoy the great view. Jeanne was a great person and made my family and me feel safe and at home. It felt like staying at your grandmothers house in every way. The food was excellent and fresh! This was the best stop we had on our way to Ontario and we thank you so much for the experience.
