As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I enjoy staying at different properties throughout the Hilton portfolio. On a recent quick trip up to Burlington, I decided to stay at this Doubletree. I found the property to be clean and spacious. While I wasn't able to actually choose a room through pre-check-in, I was assigned to a room at the end of the hall which was adequate for my needs. Despite facing the freeway interchange, noise was no factor. There was plenty of space for my belongings. The internet and TV worked fine, and there were enough outlets to charge my devices. Buffet breakfast in the Atrium was great as well. The only nit I have is that the property's web page advertises a "free local shuttle" which I never got to use. I travelled to & from Burlington by Amtrak and would be at Union Station downtown. I called the hotel by phone during my travels to Burlington and was told that the shuttle would not be available when the train arrives shortly before 10 PM. OK.... I would take Uber. But they told me one would be available to take me downtown in the morning. When I inquired at check-in about a shuttle in the morning, I was told that it doesn't go to the train station but only goes to other locations. OK.... I'd Uber back as well. Round trip cost me over $60 because I had to reserve the hotel-bound trip in advance to ensure no long wait at 10 PM. Overall it was a great stay, and the location comes recommended (if you don't need a ride to travel there!)

Hotel's Favourite
This hotel is convenient to the interstate, shopping, the hospital (many travel to this area for health care), restaurants etc. The hotel restaurant has good food for dinner! Very attractive areas for sitting and relaxing, both indoors and out. Lovely pool area.

This was a great stay. The staff were extremely friendly, the room was spotless, and there was plenty of places to hang out and take it easy. This place is definitely set up for the traveler, the rooms were filled with amenities that would benefit the guest regardless of length of stay. This was a gorgeous hotel in the modern sense of architecture, but old world hospitality. Definitely recommend!

Friendly staff, especially Vicki at the front desk. Very clean and updated / new hotel. The Atrium had a lavish breakfast buffet. Excellent location for all your needs whether it be to the colleges, hospital or take the shuttle downtown. Hope to visit again.

Stayed for a night in Aug22. The first room assigned to us had a terrible smell of curry, so obviously the previous guest had a meal inside the room and the staff did not clean it properly. Asked to change rooms, and the new one did not have a bad smell, however the fridge had leftover food from the previous guest. The two combined incidents makes us think that the rooms are not being properly cleaned between guests. Last but not least, when we came back to the room later that night and went to take a shower, there were only three towels for four guests, so we just had to improvise with what we had. During checkout, when asked if everything was fine, I reported these issues. The only reply I got was that I could have called to ask for an additional towel. I replied that I did not want to wait 15-30min late at night to have the towel that was supposed to be in my room in the first place. By the response given to me, it seems that these incidents are treated as normal occurrences by the hotel team

The facility is exceptional, there are pools, shops, dining services, and breakfast services, all in this one building. There are huge windows that let the outside lights shine indoors. There are apartment-like complexes that let people in rooms look out into the giant lobby. The breakfast services are fantastic. The servers are very polite and nice. The buffet consists of a variety of fruits, bacon, french toasts, waffles, scrambled eggs, etc. There is a gas station across the street for people who want to keep the dining expences cheap. It sells candies, sandwiches, salads, drinks, etc. I definitely didn't deserve all of this, and this is definitely not a 3-star hotel as Booking.com suggests. The only downside is that there are no microwaves.

The Doubletree Hilton hotel in Burlington VT, is horrible. The AC/Heat fan blew directly on the thermostat and not into the hotel room, so once the thermostat would heat up, it would shut down the heat for a significant period of time. As a result, the room never exceeded 60 degrees or so. After an uncomfortable night with little sleep, the front desk said that they would send an "engineer" to address the problem during the day while we were out. Once we returned to the room later that day, the issue had not been fixed, but it was too late, and we were too exhausted to pursue any action. The next morning, we complained again to the front desk about not having heat (for two nights), and the rep said that she was new and that she didn't have the authority to offer a partial refund for no heat but that we could call her manager when she returned later in the day. It turns out that that was untrue, as the manager mistakenly came out of the backroom and was caught off guard and exposed. It was pretty clear that she had instructed her employees to tell guests that she was not in, if they had a complaint. The first thing the manager said was that we had received a discounted rate online of $240 per night and that the hotel could have charged the "regular" rate of $400, so she was therefore not inclined to offer a refund regardless of the failure of the hotel to deliver on basic services/necessities like running water, and heat (she was already playing games as the hotel is not going to book the room unless it can profit (handsomely I might add) from the transaction). In other words, she clearly had little respect for the guests as she was already attempting to bully, and be untruthful (and she had zero intention of doing the right thing). She again refused to offer any reduced rate, and said that she would have an "engineer" check the room to verify our story (basically, she was implying that we were somehow scheming). Anyway, it was way too uncomfortable and stressful to stay at this hotel. It was awful. I would not recommend this hotel as the management clearly does not respect or care about the guests, and instead only focuses on lying to the guests and other nonsense, while maximizing its profits. We checked into a different hotel that day. Overall, we couldn't fall asleep at the Doubletree Hilton for lack of heat. The only thing colder than the room, was their customer service (mostly, the manager), which was the worst we have experienced in a long time. Avoid this hotel if you can. Don't let them steal your money.

It is a beautiful modern hotel with a good onsite restaurant. The location makes it easy to go to nearby towns and downtown Burlington. I had two problems on my stay involving the same man at the front desk. I asked about the shuttle and he said that they were short drivers and that due to a prior arrangement priority was given to people going to and from the airport. We spend $40 on Uber during our two night visit. While waiting for an Uber I needed to sit down but the outdoor bench was wet from an earlier rainstorm. I asked the same gentleman for a towel to wipe it off and he said that it was the housekeeping staff's responsibility. The bench was not cleaned while I was waiting. The rest of the personnel at the hotel (other front desk people; wait staff and housekeeping) were friendly and professional

Stayed here 5 nights. Checked in, was given keys and directions to room at far reaches of hotel. Upon arriving at room door was ajar, no one was inside, but a large maintenance cart was in the center of the room. Upon returning to the front desk, after some pleasant scurrying and messaging, we were assigned a different room. Meanwhile, as a Hilton Diamond member, I was surprised I was given just one Doubletree cookie - none for my wife - when the person ahead of me accompanied by no one was given three cookies! Now, these were just cookies, but combined with the room assignment mishap, it was a bit frustrating. When we did finally get into our room it was clean and very nice, but the hotel turns the air conditioning off at night and it became very warm and difficult to sleep in the middle of the night (which was too bad because the bed itself was quite comfortable).
