Delta Hotels bought and rebranded this older hotel. Renovations updated quite a bit and improved the hotel. Lobby and restaurant are attractive and efficient, and the rooms are modern. But a few drawbacks remain. The only elevator is quite a way from the lobby - really does not make sense. Also, the tubs are narrow and curved on the bottom which is not conducive to showers. Finally, the hotel is on a busy road that can be noisy - try to get a room that does not face the main road.

Hotel's Favourite
I am a lifetime titanium member with Marriott. Just came back from one of their hotels in Paris two weeks ago. But this hotel is one of the best I have stayed at. It’s nothing much to look at, the rooms are pretty cookie-cutter, but the staff and the food and service in the restaurant were fantastic! Just here for one night before we drive to New Hampshire. My salmon was over cooked (I’d ordered it medium rare) but it was still moist and a very generous portion. Our server, Morgan, and food and beverage manager, Nick attended to every possible detail. If they could make the restaurant look a little more upscale, I’m confident they would get larger crowds than just hotel guests. But given the challenges to the hospitality industry, they deserve five stars! Also, Jennifer, who checked us in, was lovely and recognized my titanium status. That rarely happens!!

The Lobby was nice and easy to navigate. The staff was very helpful and eager to do what they could to help in any way, They offered cookies and brownies for snacks. The ceilings in the halls are very low. The rooms were fairly nice, the HVAC units were so noisy my co-worker had to change rooms. My room was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom had a tub-shower. The hotel conference area was very usable, and quite distressed. The hotel was nice, but it is showing its age and is very overpriced.

I am a Bonvoy Silver card holder. I booked this hotel because it was supposed to be one of it’s better properties. The price certainly implied that. A two day stay, with tax included was over $650. The room was poorly designed. Upon entering the room I noticed that the bathroom sink was on the left side of the hallway. ( we’ll call it a hallway sink). On the right side of the hallway was a door to the remaining parts of the bathroom. It to had its problems. The room was maybe 4 ‘ by 6’ with a toilet so close to the door you needed to straddle the toilet or step into the shower to close the door. Back to the hallway sink. The faucet on the sink was short (3 maybe 4”) and was set so far back on the sink that the water barely made it into the sink. It made it hard to wash or fill a glass with water. This place was not like other Marriott properties where I have stayed. I will not be going back there in the future.

The front desk service was lovely! I was pleasantly surprised. I witnessed the gentleman helping a woman who was at the wrong hotel. He even called the right hotel to help her. The service was great but the beds and pillows are not very comfortable. Nevertheless, due to the service I would not hesitate to return!

We stayed for a few nights, as a staycation and will definitely be back. We were hearing that the restaurant ( Duke's Public House) was serving some of the best cocktails around...this buzz was making its way all the way to Montpelier, as we had more than a few of our friends tell us that we HAD to go in and see for ourselves. I mean, I can't understate how good the food was...it was Great food! The salmon was memorable, with beautiful plating and presentation. We sat at the bar and watched the staff weave their magic. It was fascinating to watch the people do their jobs...especially since they were so good at it. What stood out to us in particular was Nick, the manager. The care, patience and ease with which he wove and lead his staff was impressive...like watching a movie almost. We ordered some of his signature Bees Knee's Cocktails (local Barr Hill Gin, fresh lemon juice, raw honey, honey comb, bee pollen, thyme and the glass has a honeyed rim with bee pollen dust - OMG!) and sat there in awe of how he guided his staff in prepping and preparing these drinks. They were THE BEST DRINKS WE'VE EVER HAD! We have traveled all over the country and I’d put this drink up against anything we’ve had in any large city. I have a feeling that Nick will probably be in NYC or some other large city by the time we come back. He was just so cool and smooth - in his element as they say. Julie was our bartender and she was fantastic. She did a great job anticipating our needs, making suggestions and was cute, bubbly and personable. The place has a really solid vibe, comfortable & casual, as it is Vermont, yet very well-run and professional. We now have a new favorite restaurant in South Burlington! We think it would be a great spot to grab a drink before seeing a show at Higher Ground; it’s across the street from it. The hotel itself is pretty cool. The pool was good, room was good and the front desk staff were kind and welcoming...in particular Jennifer.

This hotel was no where near as nice as expected especially for the price! The outside looks very run down (needs paint, etc.). I was honestly almost afraid to stay here! The elevator is old (section B) and makes loud, scary noises! The hallways are dark and musty smelling. The room definitely had some updating done. But needed more honestly! The shower curtain was stained and the paint was chipping on doors, in the bathroom, etc. it was quiet and we did sleep ok. I probably wouldn’t choose this hotel again if something nicer was available. It did have a pool and hot tub.

We stayed here twice and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hotel features very tidy rooms and an hospitable staff. Pay a little extra and get one of their very comfortable suites. The hotel's restaurant is excellent as well.

I loved that the hotel emailed me to let me know when my room was ready for check-in so I could actually get there earlier than I thought. My room was clean and quiet. The staff was friendly. I ate dinner in the hotel restaurant which was very good and the service was also great. Would definitely stay here again.

No idea what niche Marriott is going for with the Delta brand. This is basically a Hampton Inn with a nicer lobby and decent bar & grill attached. The hotel & restaurant staff were all incredibly nice & helpful on our visit. We arrived around 10pm and restaurant was closed which was unfortunate but apparently common for that area. Breakfast was great. Service great too. You walk in your door and thru the nice bathroom’s sink area to get to rest of room which is inconvenient when traveling with group. Nice beds & good AC. Close to a Target which was helpful for road trip stocking up. The location is great for airport but little far (1.5 miles) from downtown Burlington. Probably would spend extra $ to stay at downtown Courtyard next time to better explore town. But nice hotel for overnight stop in VT.
