This place is awesome! Quant inn tucked into the hills of Plymouth VT, Long trail Brewery is right up the road as are Okemo and Killington. The staff is fantastic, very polite and helpful. Great beer on tap at the bar. The rooms are very cozy, I stayed in the moore room which holds 5 people and has a separate...

I cannot express enough how wonderful The Salt Ash Inn is. I spent a weekend up there with a bunch of friends and had the most amazing time. The entire place has a super homey feel, with an adorable fire place, cozy rooms, and really sweet staff. For the price of the rooms, I felt that my friends and I...

I recently spent a weekend at the Salt Ash Inn with enough friends that we sold the place out. Personally I had a really cozy room with a working fire place that was a great addition. The heating system, needs lots of work. it cannot be turned higher than 68 (i guess 68 is warm in vermont) even up to 68 it...

At one time, this place looks like it was great. Another site has some great pics of fire places lit and lively. This is not that time. It appears the place was bought out 12-18 months ago. When we arrived the entire first floor was cold, no heat. We were put in the wrong room, we reserved and paid for...

I've run some yoga retreats across the street at Good Commons. One sold out so I booked a room for my husband and myself at Salt Ash, given the proximity. As the owners wrote in response to some of the comments, they're trying to offer something affordable. Also, as they wrote or you can easily determine, the economy in Plymouth...

Thanks for the feedback. I live on premises and can be reached by phone, you never attempted to contact me while you were here. I tend to leave people alone and try not to disturb them, if you need something you can always let me know. I do not sit in the lobby and wait for guests, nor can we...

You have been warned this place is a nightmare ... Arrived 6pm with family and there was not a sole around .. Rang the contact number .. No response ... Waited half hour no one. In the meantime looked around.. Place was like it had been closed up for the season .. Except all rooms and doors open.. Absolutely no...

No one in when we arrived. Waited more than half an hour after ringing the 200 number on the phone. Tried to sit on the porch to wait but chairs so dusty and even vines growing over some of them. Bar stools on top of tables. All downstairs doors open. Empty boxes and rubbish in the lobby area and the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Salt Ash Inn is conveniently located near Killington and Okemo Ski Areas in Calvin Coolidge's hometown of Plymouth, in Vermont. We are just up the road from the Long Trial Brewery, and a short drive to Woodstock. The Inn is a very casual, home-style Vermont Country Inn, think about it as a home full of friends you haven’t met yet. The main building is rich in history and much of our furnishings are antique and rustic. The main building has been an 1830s stagecoach stop, a general store and even a post office. The Inn has undergone many updates over the years and recently underwent a major renovation after damages caused by Hurricane Irene. It now offers 13 uniquely decorated guest rooms (all with private baths, individually controlled heat, TV's and telephones with free domestic calls). We offer warm common areas for lounging or reading, a cozy rustic Country style bar with pool table, gas fireplace, and some of the most unique furnishings you will find anywhere. ... more   less

“All the rooms are pretty nice, but some are a bit bigger/fancier than others. It really depends on if you are going with friends, your significant other, or family. I had no noise complaints or trouble sleeping in the "Moore" room and found my other friends' rooms equally cozy. Just decide based on the number of people and the number of beds.”
