The innkeepers, Lynne and Darren, were very accommodating and pleasant during our 2 night stay. My husband has many diet restrictions and they went above and beyond to make sure his needs were met. We stayed in the Birch Suite which was cozy and quaint. It also was well appointed with a stocked refrigerator and microwave. I had a manicure and pedicure at the Vermont Spa (part of the B&B property). Kristen did a super job, very professional and actually one of the best mani/pedis I’ve ever had.
This is a gem of an old country farmhoues and barn beautifully restored into a BnB. The hosts are very generous and the breakfast was terrific. The bed was ultra comfortable. Everything was just perfect for a get away ski weekend. Sure to return at some point.
My husband and I, and our 4 1/2 year golden retriever, just stayed for 2 nights at the Phineas Swan. We stayed in the immaculate and extremely comfortable Birch Suite. The bed was SOOO comfortable!! Snacks, soda and seltzer water were all provided. Homemade chocolate chip cookies and blueberry bread were delicious!! Beer, wine, Prosecco & champagne available at very reasonable prices! Lynne and her staff were friendly, kind and exceedingly helpful! More like a friend than an owner. 💕 We explored the covered bridges, big falls in North Troy and more. Visit The Belfry for dinner if it is open while you are there. Be advised-no cell service in the area but super fast Wi-Fi at the Phineas. Breakfast was delicious. Eggs or pancakes with Canadian bacon or sausage while we were there. I believe that the breakfast menu changes each day and that you can pre-request eggs if you prefer. They put a birthday candle in my husband’s toast for his birthday! So sweet and thoughtful!! We loved the hot tub and beautiful flower gardens. They were so dog friendly and we really appreciated being able to have our rescue with us for his 1 year adoption anniversary! Thank you Lynne and Team Phineas for an amazing stay!!…
This was a lovely place to spend a much-needed weekend away! We enjoyed biking the nearby rail trails, visiting St Albans and Burlington. I would definitely recommend this in to anyone looking for a relaxing stay.
This inn is amazing, very warm and beautiful. You will be stunned by hot tubs, flowers and green grass all around. The staff is so nice and the rooms are lovely. And the breakfast? Homemade waffle, and other selections. Delicious! I loved my stay here, I wish I will come back some day! If you want to stay in an amazing place where to relax and eat great breakfast, that’s the place for you!
Phineas & Swann was a delightful place to celebrate our milestone anniversary - and the service from Darren, Lynne, the staff and Maple (their adorable 4-legged family member!) was IMPECCABLE!!! Breakfast was “over the top” with multiple selections of food and beverage and our room was cozy, clean well equipped and nicely laid out!!!! To make it even more attractive, the grounds were beautifully landscaped, there was always a warm smile to greet us, and the inn was conveniently located so we had options for things to do during our 2-night stay!!! 😎 Will definitely return if our future travels take us in that direction!!
We were in town for a wedding and stayed here for 3 nights. Since this wasn't our first trip to this part of Vermont, we asked ourselves, "How come we didn't know about this place sooner?" Top notch hospitality and beautiful rooms. We received an upgrade to a suite at no additional cost. They serve breakfast every morning from 8:00 - 9:30. The first morning there, we overslept and didn't think we would make it in time for breakfast. But Lynne (one of the owners) called us to check if we wanted to come over for breakfast. That was so sweet and unexpected. Of course, we happily said YES! Breakfast is freshly made every day and delicious. There is a cozy living room with complimentary all-day coffee and tea and homemade cake. There are also two refrigerators - one with complimentary soft drinks and the other with different kinds of beer. The refrigerator in our room was also stocked with soft drinks and beer. There is a charge for alcoholic beverages. We also had a microwave in our room. The rooms have cable TV, but without premium channels. If you are in the mood for a movie, you can choose from a selection of DVDs in your room or in the main house. Our room was equipped with a DVD player. There is also a spa right across the backyard, but we didn't get a chance to go. Hopefully next time. I highly recommend the Phineas Swann Inn & Spa. I can't wait to stay there again soon!…
Great hospitality, spotless room and the best sleep ever! Just some of the superlatives describing this cozy and welcoming B&B. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast the next morning before heading home. We had a wonderful time!
We booked a stay as part of a wedding event. The room was clean, comfortable and the ambiance was pleasant. The staff, amenities and food (breakfast) exceeded our expectations. They also catered the wedding, and the food was amazing. There is a spa adjacent to the inn, we didn’t partake as we had a full schedule but I did a walk through and it was clean and well maintained, I would definitely book services next time around. The grounds/gardens/flowers were beautiful and well manicured. Overall one of my favorite stays in a long time. In a day now where Customerservice seems to be absent, the staff at Phineas Swann Inn provided excellent customer service with a smile. Definitely recommend!
This was a lovely inn with charming rooms. They greeted was warmly and made us feel welcome from the onset. There is a comfy reading room, a screened off gazebo (my wife and I at dinner outside) with a view of their lovely garden. There is also a spa, which we will take advantage of on our next visit. If you are in this part of the world, then I recommend this quaint inn.
