The Manchester/Dorset area offers some lovely, but pricey inns. An attractive option is The Aspen at Manchester. Formerly known as the Aspen Motel, the place is exactly that, but a very well-maintained and super clean one. Rooms are comfortable, there's free wifi and cable TV, and lawn chairs outside your door to enjoy the nice view. Parking is just outside...

We decided to stay in Manchester after stopping there on our touring holiday so we hadn't booked anywhere in advance. When in one of shops I asked the assistant for any recommendations and she told me the Aspen as she'd previously worked there and said it was a good place to stay - family run, friendly, comfortable and clean....... so...

It's been a long time since I have stayed in motel-style lodging and I had forgotten how convenient it is to park right outside your door, especially for those of us who overpack and have lots of luggage. The Aspen is immaculate, with beautifully maintained rooms and lovely grounds. It exceeded our expectations.

A very comfortable 1960's set-up well back from the highway with massive front lawn and outdoor pool. Park the car right at your door. There is no breakfast or restaurant but not too far to drive to many options. I travel a lot and don't know of another place anywhere which still does not have flat screen TV's. The other...

Spent a night here when on business in Manchester. It is a lovely family owned motel. Reminiscent of the 1960s but very up to date. CLEAN! Very nice 1960s era furnishings that look brand new. Updated bathroom. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Small sitting area outside each room's door. IN room coffee. Very quiet. Even though my room was next...

We have stayed at the Aspen for several years and always look forward to another visit! Quiet, private, close to town yet set apart, beautiful grounds, wonderful hosts, affordable, clean, etc. Such a pleasant change from the chain hotels. We have recommended it to friends and will certainly return again and again!

We have enjoyed this place for the last 12 years. There is an ongoing sense of welcome and the visits have become like going to a second home. Excellent grounds, comfortable beds, very clean and spacious rooms. The ownership is dedicated to providing top service in a most friendly and welcoming manner. The brothers team of Bruce and Scott have...

Beautiful grounds and nice pool. Rooms were good. The bed was a little soft for me but the wife loved it. Happy Wife Happy Life. Price was right and that was the bonus. Two brothers own and operate it. Very helpful.
