We Booked this INN the day before through the internet as we were travelling home from a week away in Quebec. The price was good, we did not want to spend a lot of money on a regular hotel experience so we thought we would give it a try. It was an all round great experience. We were able to... More

This B&B was a great find. The location is perfect. Very peaceful. The owners are wonderful. Breakfast is included and dinner may be prepurchased for a nominal amount. Both were delicious, especially with the veggies being picked that day from their garden! They have kayaks and a canoe, which we used often. The lake is simply beautiful. One evening we... More

This is not a five star property. But, in keeping with the Isle LaMotte vibe, it served us well. We were with a large group and had the Inn to ourselves. Our room on the second floor was comfortable. No need for A/C in June. We had a toilet and sink in the room; but had to share shower facilities... More

Background...I was leaving for Paris on Sunday and my passport renewal had not arrived on Thursday (sent six weeks earlier and paid to expedite). There were no appointments available in Boston or NH until after my departure date and my tickets were non-refundable. The only appointment available was on Friday (the last business day before I was to leave) in... More

The stuff is very friendly and breakfast was excellent. The hosts gave us very good tips on what to do around. We were a little stunned by the remoteness and quietness of the place at first, but then it turned out to be quite good experience for us.

This Inn is probably better when it is not busy. We were there over a Labor Day weekend and the Inn was completely full. Our room was quiet, but the bed was very lumpy, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on. There were so many people that breakfast was set out on a table, one bowl of veggie scrambled eggs,... More

Good location but very basic room and "private beach" was being used by other guests so we did not feel able to intrude. Beds very hard and lumpy, socket did not work so could not use fan. As a result we spent a very muggy nigh

We stayed at the Inn at the Isle for one night on our way to Barre, Vermont. Isabel was a very gracious host and made us a simple but fabulous pasta dinner with homemade pesto and lemon-coconut brownies upon our arrival. Breakfast was equally delicious...my husband and I shared a burrito filled with homegrown veggies as well as scrambled eggs... More

Making one's way north through the Champlain Islands, it's difficult to remember that those aren't salt marshes outside the window, so reminiscent is the scene of some yet-to-be-discovered coastline. We arrived at Isle la Motte and The Inn at the Isles close to dinner on Friday and innkeeper Isabel was just returning from the garden where she had been harvesting... More

This B&B is ensconced in the small town of Isle La Motte, located in the heart of Lake Champlain. The innkeepers, husband and wife team (Alex and Isabel) were so welcoming upon our arrival. The rooms are well-kept, clean, and charming. There are multiple full bathrooms in the inn as well. The property also has full wi-fi access for those... More
