No matter why you need to get away, The Essex is the place to make you feel pampered, spoiled and yet right at home! The staff is amazing, if you tell them what you like they can make your stay even more amazing! (ex. movie tickets, dessert treats, spa reccomendations, shopping, sights, bargains, etc....)

The Essex was a wonderful place to spend the weekend. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, whether checking in or just walking past them in the hall way. I was staying there with four teenage girls, and they were kind of loud and goofy, but it didn't seem to bother anyone, everyone...

Dear 55Saskia, Thank you for choosing to spend the weekend with us. We are family friendly and we mean it. Hopefully the young ladies performed well at the gymnastics meet after their full breakfast and were able to ease any sore muscles in the hot tub afterward. The boys had off for Presidents week and we took advantage of a mid week voucher for our stay Mon - Wed. The facility is very nice, clean and the rooms although dated, spacious. The indoor olympic sized pool and outdoor hot tub spa area were a big hit for the kids after a day on the slopes. My husband...

Stayed here with my 16 year old daughter. We did not use the spa other than to soak in the hot tub after snowboarding. It was a very comfortable room and the staff was friendly. We ate in the more casual of their two restaurants. The food we had was good, but considering this is a "culinary" resort I expected...

Stayed a few days at the Essex using one of the many deals floating around from deal sites. The room was a good size and clean. The biggest problem was the heating system. There's an "automated" system that turns off heat to the room when you leave. So it means you return to a very cold room when you come...

I've stayed at The Essex a couple of times because of how close it is to family and for how luxurious it is for the price. I recently used their Living Social offer ($99 a night), which really was a steal. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The rooms are oldish but quaint (Vermont rustic).
