We just completed our second stay here. Clean, comfortable rooms and a helpful staff made both stays enjoyable. Location is convenient and it’s only minutes to the restaurants in Winooski and Burlington. We had the breakfast on our first stay and it was fine, eggs, oatmeal, waffles, fruit, etc. This hotel will be our “go to” for future trips to the area.
We stayed for five nights in a two-bedroom suite and had a very nice visit to Vermont! The hotel was clean with comfortable main beds. The sofa bed mattress was a little worn but my teenager overall slept fine on it. The kitchenette had everything we needed as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful whenever we had questions. Breakfast really had a nice variety of different foods that satisfied all of us with reasonable hours that it was served. We enjoyed sitting and reading in the courtyard area. The pool and fitness areas looked nice though we didn't use those during our stay. The location is just outside the downtown Burlington area. It was only 10-15 minutes to get to the waterfront and Burlington shops from our hotel and nearby Winooski has a great park and restaurant area also!…
We traveled for a college drop-off. While the location was convenient, we found this Residence Inn to be entirely lackluster. We had a two bedroom, two bathroom suite. The hotel’s “every other day” housekeeping showed in the dirty windows and window sills and a general stuffiness to the place. We asked that the windows be addressed and were told we’d need to wait a day since housekeeping was not “on-site.” Came back from being out the next day and don’t think it was done - and nothing else was, either, because housekeeping only comes every other day. The bathrooms were not well thought out - you could hardly close the oversized door if you were anywhere near the toilet. The worst thing was the AC, which sounded like a 747. If you’re business is hotels, wouldn’t solving the “loud hotel AC” problem be top of your list?…
Horrible stay. The smoking – cigarettes, pot and vaping - is rampant and out of control here. It’s like a bad frat party 24/7. Including people running up and down the halls at all hours. After getting sick from all the smoke and moving rooms once, we eventually checked out early. when we encountered the same problem only worse on the clear other side of the hotel. I mean the halls, elevators and our rooms were just full of smoke, pot and vape fumes and making us wake up choking. We were working from the room as well, so we were bombarded all day long. Management initially seemed like they may do something about it, but they just didn’t. Eventually we were made to feel like we were the problem. A few asthma attacks later. Wrong answer. The rooms are VERY VERY worn. Some rooms have a shower set up with a partial glass partition that allows water to spray out the one side and saturate the wall and floor outside the shower. So – welcome to mold and water damage central. Clogged bathroom drain, clogged garbage disposal, broken kitchen and bathroom cabinets, pulls and burn marks in the carpets, mold, missing amenities (plates, etc) in the kitchen, filthy coffee maker, beat up furniture, disgusting windows and screens – the list goes on. Housekeeping was a disorganized disaster and they just couldn’t get it together – or figure out how to wear masks – while we were there and the local mask mandate was in place. We serviced our own room. Although they did barge in unannounced once which did not go over well. Wi-fi kept dropping and was lousy speed-wise. Some of the regular staff at the front desk were super awesome, not only in terms of doing at least what they could to make our stay more pleasant and personable, but also just as great humans. Unsurprising, some were leaving for new jobs. (good for them!) This place needs a major deep cleaning and overhaul. The management here needs to get it together - and quite frankly be replaced - at this non-smoking hotel and handle that hot mess they have going on. Seriously, if you like being smoked out on the regular, hours on end, every single day, and having a dirty worn and crazy overpriced room and a management team that is intrusive and rude and blames you for it – this is your place. Otherwise, I’m skeptical of the good reviews, many of which are one-time reviews (and older) I’ve since noticed after previously having mistakenly relied upon them. Even though I spoke with and emailed with them, there was nothing done to compensate us for the nightmare. Nothing. Once we checked out they went MIA. Typical. My guess is they are not corporate owned, but not sure. Pass. Truly the worst Marriot property we have ever stayed at.…
The hotel was great for my family of three. Good size room with a nice kitchenette. The sofa bed was comfortable enough for my 10-year-old. She loved the pool/hot tub area. I enjoyed the fitness center one day. My only ding is the breakfast could be a bit better. It was fine, but not great. Also, I'm a tea drinker and the hot water was out 2 days in a row. Not a big deal, but please remember the tea drinkers!
We flew in from Florida && had an amazing stay at this hotel. Very clean, quiet & the staff is wonderful! Mark the manager fixed our issues with Priceline. We are extremely grateful they were able to help us out & go above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay. The cleaning guy was super cool too. I wish I remembered all the girls up front during this stay, they were all so lovely. Will stay here again next visit to Vermont for sure! I wish hotels in Florida were this awesome. Thank you!!!!!
This hotel is in need of a remodel. Carpet and furniture is worn. There were a lot of people with dogs staying here so if you travel with a dog it may be a good choice, otherwise no so much. We requested a high floor and even though we are Marriott members at Titanium Elite level we were given a room on the first floor which apparently is where all the people with dogs stay.
The stay at the residence inn was very satisfying and quiet. Mark was great from the time I contacted requesting a room until we checked in. He made sure to assign us a room that fit our request. It was a pleasure interacting with him. The hotel was easy to get to. The lobby looked nice and modern. Our room was very clean, the decor was also modern and in good taste (that made you want to stay in). The kitchen had all one needs. The AC worked and didn’t make noise that keeps you awake. We definitely loved the hotel and would return.
Stayed two nights and had no problems at all. Great staff throughout, check in and breakfast staff, and the room was fantastic, which included a fireplace. Good breakfast each day. Parking is easy and well lit. Luckily I was using points, as the room rate is quite high.
We stayed in this hotel for about a week during July 4th and had an amazing time. The hotel itself was wonderful, clean, and comfortable. The main reason I am giving this hotel a 3 is because when we checked in, the nice gentleman behind the counter said housekeeping service would be every 3 days. As a family of 4, we thought that was doable, but when the 4th day came and still no housekeeping, I went to the front desk that morning asking about housekeeping and the young lady informed me that housekeeping was as requested, not on certain days. When I asked her if we could be put on the list for that day she informed me that they couldn't clean our room until the following day. This was clearly a breakdown in staff communication. If I had known, I would have certainly requested housekpeeing on a particular day. In the end, we were given additional towels and no housekpeeing during our entire stay. Would I come back, probably but I will be asking about housekeeping schedules.…
