I’ve stayed at this Hampton over 20 times. It’s my go-to hotel for many reasons. But don’t know that I’ll stay there again, as physically, the property has deteriorated greatly. The rooms are clean but undeniably dingy. On my most recent stay I observed Worn carpet and chairs, torn curtains (not clean) a TV remote missing a piece so batteries kept falling out and A/C not functioning. The saving grace is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, Bur that can only go so far… Please HILTON …renovate!!
This location was perfect for wedding we were attending. Breakfast was very good. The staff at breakfast was excellent. Front desk staff was also very welcoming. Our room was very clean. We enjoyed our stay.
I usually only write reviews if I have something positive to say, but after reading so many recent reviews that echoed the bad experience I had at this property, I feel an obligation to make sure people read these reviews before booking a stay at this property. I had booked multiple rooms for a recent stay and after check-in 2 of the 3 rooms had issues. One reeked so badly of smoke, I had to change rooms. The other room had a large mirror completely missing from the bathroom door. There were other issues I will not go into. The bottom line is that this hotel is way below the minimum standard you would expect from a Hilton property. The hotel is lacking maintenance and staff training. These are issues with either management or the property owners. I will never stay at this property ever again, so be forewarned if you are thinking of booking here. 2 Stars is being generous.…
Good location, very friendly staff, decent enough breakfast. Hotel is dated, rooms are tired, TV worked occasionally, AC was very noisy and no housekeeping. I understand the housekeeping thing to a degree, but I’m starting to wonder if it isn’t some big ploy to cut costs!!
What I liked about this hotel was the friendliness of the staff and its location. What I didn’t like was the massive amount of single use plastic items (breakfast and bathroom) they basically used for everything. Eating from plastic silverware in 2022 is just not contemporary (and not future oriented). Other that it gives food a very bad taste and look. Thanks but no thanks!
When asking for help the front desk told us to deal with it ourselves. Old Food left in our fridge. We wont be staying at hampton inn again. Poor service and average breakfast bahfjfkdjsbabfbfnfndnsbsndnf
This is the first time I have ever given a Hilton property a one star review. We are Diamond members with Hilton and have been for a number of years. I had this hotel booked for 4 nights....we stayed 1 and moved on. On the plus side the front desk person checking us in was polite and did her job well and the outside of the facility looked neat and clean. Inside was a whole different matter. The hallways were dirty, the room was dirty and basically the entire place was in need of a total makeover. This was as far away from Hilton quality as you could get. I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it to anyone. We moved on to Stowe Vermont for the last 3 days of our short vacation and our only regret was that we stayed at the Hampton Inn Colchester for one night.
We stayed a few nights at this hotel and with it being part of the Hilton chain, we expect a certain standard. The hotel is rather dated, although attractive from the outside. The rooms have high ceilings but seem rather tired. The air conditioner is very noisy and so is the fridge when it comes on in the middle of the night, sounds something like a diesel generator starting up. It certainly wakes you up in the middle of the night. In our room, the window had been broken at some point and rather than being replaced, it’s been taped up which is very poor - given the wealth of the Hilton chain, surely this should be replaced. The net curtains are also ripped and the chord for this is sticky ! Gross considering Covid is still about this isn’t exactly adhering to a high level of cleanliness. Add to the fact it looks like someone left their fingers or toenails behind as a gift for the next people staying. Disgusting. Something odd also is the toilet is incredibly low down, why?! The free breakfast was barely edible and again a complete lack of choice. If we had of paying next to nothing for this stay then you would look past these items and shrugged them off because you paid next to nothing. This hotel however is not cheap and the least they can do is to fix things and clean properly. Photos attached. Up your game Hilton.…
This Hampton Inn is what we have learned to expect Convenient location, clean and comfortable room and a really good breakfast. Only problem, no chocolate chip cookies! Tabitha and Gordie were exceptional in supporting us.
The room had leftover garbabe on the floor, stained linens and stained furniture. There was a "welcoming committee" of guys drinking and smoking near the entrance and unfortunately we could hear and smell them from our room upstairs. Also the window shade had holes in it. Very disappointing for $400 for one night. As a Diamond Member I stay at a lot of Hampton Inns and a lot of Hiltons and this was rediculous. I won't be back.
