We stayed last summer (July 2015) at the Chester House Inn. I was making plans for this summer (not returning) and realized that I should have given our review from last year. I hope things have changed. Last year we stayed in an upstairs room. The shower stall leaked, the loud air conditioning unit was located at the foot of...

We spent a weekend here while we were skiing at okemo mountain. The Chester House Inn is located right on the main green area where there are antique shops, a bookstore, a quilting shop , boutique shops and restaurants. The inn is a warm and friendly place with a nice downstairs sitting area in front of a fireplace. There are...

Charming, quaint B & B in lovely town of Chester VT. The hosts Bob & Jan are friendly and welcoming. There is coffee and tea available at all times in the common area which was a plus for a coffee addict like me. The Inn is beautifully decorated throughout with some very nice antique pieces. Our in room fireplace, kept...

This B&B needs a make over. The bedroom carpet needed replacing as did the shower cubicle. It could do with re-decorating in plain paint. The whole place needs de-cluttering. The corridors had scented "plug ins" that were very overpowering. We found the owner to be too familiar, but maybe that is just the American way. On the bright side, the...

We went to Chester Vermont to enjoy the fall foliage, and picked the Chester House Inn as our jumping off point for the three day stay. The room was great and so was the host. The breakfast were delicious and big servings to boot. We had a very pleasant stay and our host Bob went out of his way to...

We stayed here for three nights in October 2015 as part of a tour around New England. Our host Bob made us extremely welcome giving good recommendations for local things to do - all of which we did and 100% enjoyed. Breakfast was superb , lovely home cooking and we enjoyed the banter at breakfast both with Bob and the...

We arrived in the evening and left the next morning, so we didn't spend much time at the Inn. But the host was very helpful and gracious. Great breakfast. Great location in a very nice town in south Vermont.

My boyfriend and I had a pleasant stay at the Inn - it was only 1 night, but upon arrival the inn owner made sure to greet us and make us feel welcomed. There is a keurig available for us downstairs at all times, and a bonus is that there are always fresh chocolate chip cookies made by the inn...

The CHI is small and unassuming next to the larger Victorian places in Chester's main square. However it has a New England authenticity that we rarely come across. The home it self dates back to the late 1700. Inside it is quaint cozy and well managed. Excellent job with the rooms, breakfast & general hospitality. The town of Chester it...

My wife and I recently attended the 2015 Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremonies in Cooperstown, NY. After the ceremonies during the last weekend in July, we drove to Vermont and view the beauty that we have never seen. I had made a reservation at the Chester House Inn in Chester, VT for 2 nights. Upon our arrival, Bob showed...
