We took a chance on Fruitlands as a stopover 108 miles into a 182 mile cycling trip in Vermont. Janet called a few days in advance when she wasn't sure she had our plans correct, and dale picked us up from a nearby restaurant for the final few miles up a gravel road to their place. They couldn't have been...

Thank you for "taking a chance" and staying at Fruitlands while biking across Vermont. Part of the fun in being hosts is to help with the special logistics and needs of people who are choosing to travel Vermont on biking tours, hiking tours and even by train.

Beautiful landscape & garden, secluded, quiet; absolutely no wifi or cell service. Several miles of gravel road to get there. We enjoyed hearing the guineas since we have had them ourselves. Had a relaxing time. We were there blueberries were ripe,we were told to pick some to take so we did.

Thank you for staying with us at Fruitlands B&B. I want to clarify that we are indeed up a well-maintained gravel road (school-bus route) but only 1.2 miles off from Rt. 2, the major east-west highway in Northern Vermont.

Dale graciously used his truck to pick up our bikes and us about 4 miles away from their B&B to avoid the steep hills remaining to the B&B. They gave us an upgrade to a suite, offered the use of their kayaks and transportation to and from the nearby lake. Dale also filled our bikes with air, repaired one bike,...

Thank you. We are glad that you had a great last day of biking down to Wells River via Peacham. We hope to see you on another bike trip, and maybe you will be able to fit in using our kayaks next time.

We spent a short weekend here on a "get away from it all" vacation, and had a great time. Janet and Dale were very nice and accommodating, the Alcott suite was warm and inviting; we spent time reading and playing games in front of the gas fireplace. The area around is silent and peaceful, but we were able to quickly...

Our stay was short, but very nice. Dale and Janet work hard to live in harmony with nature, and as a result, they have developed Fruitlands for them and us to enjoy. It's and authentic Vermont experience.

We stayed with Janet and Dale in Fruitlands in their Alcott room. The decor was lovely and homey, with great colors and very comfortable, just what you would expect from a Vermont fruit farm. We picked ourselves silly on the delicious organic blueberries and raspberries (4 pints!), and my girls loved playing with Janet's grandkids. Janet is helpful and unobtrusive;...

Three of us rented the Alcott suite and the Butternut room for 3 days while we attended a workshop in St. Johnsbury. What a pleasure! The Alcott suite was roomy (queen bed & futon) , had a fully stocked kitchen, internet access and satellite tv. The beds were comfortable and the whole place was immaculate. Janet and Dale fed us...

Recently stayed at Fruitlands in the Vermont off-season, but still found so much to do. Fruitlands is a great centralized location run by a wonderful couple. If you're looking to indulge in the Vermont culture and pick up some Vermont beers, it's thirty minutes from Hill Farmstead and Montpellier (check out the Three Penny Tap Room). Janet can give you...

Fruitlands B&B was very convenient to the attractions in Montpelier and Waterbury and was more affordable than the B&Bs we looked at in town. We stayed in the Alcott suite which was clean and comfortable with a great view of the mountains. We had a good breakfast every morning with local Vermont ingredients. Very nice folks - they introduced us...

Stayed one night during our quick visit around New England, and had a great welcome and very comfortable stay. Janet recommended a great place to eat and we slept very well. Highly recommend and we shall certainly return when we visit America again next year.

Thank you for your review and for staying with us. We just wanted to add a note about rooms: we do have two rooms, the Butternut Room with private bath in which you stayed and the Alcott Suite which is a 700sq. ft. suite with full kitchen, deck, private entrance, gas fireplace, Sat. TV, DSL and much more. Again, thank...
