Hotel Vermont was a great spot for a September weekend. It's conveniently walkable to restaurants, shopping and the lake. There is a small but nice outdoor deck where you can enjoy a cocktail. Our bartender Max was fantastic. Two suggestions - put the robes on hangers in the closet - we thought folded up on a shelf that there were a blanket. Also, the website notes an outdoor pizza place. It's actually not open. Overall, pleasant service and a well-appointed hotel.
This is a terrific hotel. Convenient location and parking. Easy to walk to the lake or to downtown restaurants (well, close by anyway—lots of topography in Burlington!). Congenial, helpful staff. Our room was on the top (6th) floor, very quiet. Comfortable appointments in the spacious room. We especially liked the split bathroom, which meant we had two sinks so we could get ready at the same time. Great shower and toiletries. Thick towels! The floor’s amenity bar was well stocked with an espresso machine, still and sparkling water, teas, bags of ice, and local apples on our visit. We will be back.
We enjoyed everything about our 2 night stay at Hotel Vermont. Our room was a CornerView King on the 5th floor with a nice view of Lake Champlain. The room was quite large, the firm comfortable bed had luxury linens and comforter. Vermont flannel bath robes and a flannel throw at the end of the bed were an added touch that made us feel at home. The shower experience was relaxing with a spa shower head with excellent water pressure, and luxury bath products. A nice leather chair with foot stool was a great place to read or watch tv. The Keurig coffee machine and gourmet tea station on each floor was convenient and available all day. Ice is provided on each floor. The parking garage connected to the hotel is very convenient and is $12 daily, with in/outs included. The discount is provided by the hotel. The staff that we interacted with were all very pleasant and helpful. While checking in we had the pleasure of speaking with Jackie, (I think) who was very welcoming and informative of favorite sites to visit and he had great restaurant recommendations. During checkout Jackie was friendly and very personable. (A shout out for an excellent employee,) The location is conveniently located between the lakefront and the pedestrian Church St promenade, a 5 minute walk to each, where there are many shops and restaurants and pubs.…
I booked a corner room so we could see the lake. View was as promised. Room showing some wear and tear but not too bad. Reason my 4 star went to a 3 is due to the fact that there is no place to sit outside and enjoy the view you paid for unless you purchase something from the bar. We had bought a lovely bottle of wine in town with some cheese and wanted to sit outside to enjoy it but were told we would have to drink it in our room since it wasn’t purchased at the bar. For the price of the hotel, should be a place to sit outside to enjoy the view (even portion off a small part of the patio for your guests so that is isn’t part of the bar).
This is a really nice place to stay. The location is close to the lake. It is a short walk to Church St. The staff is really helpful. The restaurant offers indoor and patio seating. I like the water dispenser on each floor. I stayed here as part of a bike tour for one night. Prior to the tour, I stayed at another place and wish I had booked this hotel for those nights.
Pricey but nice. Not amazing but nice. No real view or amenities that would give it 5 stars but it was a good place to stay. The bed was super comfortable and I appreciated the keurig coffee maker on the floor. Good bed and good coffee made me happy and the cocktail menu and breakfasts were excellent.
My sister and I had a room at the hotel next door, and the power went out, so we checked into the Hotel Vermont for just one night, while waiting for repairs. We were wishing we had booked here in the first place. The room was spotless and comfortable. I curled up in the recliner to read for a while and could have slept there. All of the staff were wonderful. A little thing they do that every hotel should do is to provide a coffee bar on each floor. We only had to walk out the door to get hot water to make our coffee, instead of going down to the lobby in pajamas-brilliant!
Amazing bed! Beautiful room! Lovely amenities! My husband and I stayed here on the first night of our honeymoon and it was a perfect resting place. Parking was convenient, the room was very comfortable, and the shower was incredibly refreshing. It was within walking distance to many restaurants and the lake. Three was not much of a view from the room, but that didn’t matter to us.
This was our first trip to Burlington and we picked the perfect place to stay. The hotel was spotlessly clean and very new. The ambient light everywhere made it very relaxing. The staff was excellent. I had forgotten a very expensive, ergonomic pillow in our room. They shipped it to me with express shipping and even wrapped it in tissue paper. It was with in walking distance to everything downtown. The front desk staff was very helpful with recommendations for places to eat and visit. We loved the coffee bar on each floor. The little things like the hand made coffee mugs in the rooms and the AO glass everywhere was a nice touch. Its a short drive to The Vermont teddy bear factory, Ethan Allen homestead, Champlin chocolates and AO glass. We even had a view of the lake. If you're going to stay in Burlington, this is place to stay.…
Excellent location and room views of Lake Champlain. Short walk to shopping and excellent restaurants. Close to Battery park with walkways along the lake. The hotel has very thoughtful use of space, ambiance and VERY clean. Staff very friendly. Would stay here again and again!
