The Hotel Vermont is exactly what I’d hoped it would be, and it’s exactly how it appears online. It’s cozy and friendly, yet modern and upscale, but it’s the staff that makes the difference. Every team member we encountered was friendly and upbeat with an excited and motivated approach. The area around the hotel is a mixed bag. The area by St. Paul Street where American Flatbread is located (definitely recommend) is terrific, but near the hotel by the bus station, there are a lot of unpleasant-looking individuals and a lot of graffiti. This is obviously outside of the control of the hotel, but it’s a consideration as you plan your travels to Burlington. Overall, the hotel was amazing. If it was located in Chicago, where I’m from, it’d easily be an $800 per night hotel.

The restaurant have a good range of food, excellent and timely service. Check in and out was easy and courteous. Room on 5th floor was great with view of bay and lake. Had work zoom both days and it was very comfortable to work and have two people in the room. The hotel is very well designed and a great location. We will stay again.

Everything was perfect! The hotel is beautiful: rustic Vermont meets modern design. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We had the king room with whirlpool tub. The room and bathroom were large and so clean. It is about 5-7 min walk to Church St. My husband and I have visited Burlington, VT many times over the past 20 years and this was our first time staying at Hotel Vermont. We will not be staying anywhere else going forward. It was wonderful.

We’ve become regulars at Hotel Vermont. It’s got the best vibe, incredible service, immaculate rooms, cool bar, and delicious restaurant. The hotel lobby has a nice lounge and fireplace and the outside deck also has multiple fire pits. It’s close to downtown Burlington and Lake Champlain.

Great room very cool. Awesome coffee bar on each floor very good location for our needs of shopping hiking and relaxing. Went to a music show at shelburne vineyard only 20 minutes away so convenient for us .Had breakfast one morning very good .Stafff was excellent except for one of the bartenders extremely small pour on a glass of Pinot asked about desert no follow up on that or the drinks kind of aloof .3 night stay would stay again .

This is a fantastic boutique hotel that goes beyond the local premium chains. The attention to detail, from the interior design and amenities, is well thought out. I love the coffee bars on each floor! My room was quiet and away from the elevator. Check in was a breeze and the front desk kept the lines moving.

The Positives: The font desk staff are polite and helpful, providing recommendations on where to eat and things to do in the area. The rooms are smaller than most hotels, but clean and up to date. The coffee makers on each floor are a nice touch. The location is great! The Negatives: from our 3rd floor room, not only could we hear every passing car, but the conversations from the guests as they arrived and departed. Additionally, there was a loud percussion rhythm outside our window caused by rain falling on the window sill. (I actually recorded it to play for the staff). If you are traveling with children, please adhere to the front desk restaurant recommendations as the dinner menu for the hotel restaurant caters to a more mature palette. Lastly, I just do not think this place warrants the premium price…not if you value sleep. Maybe try asking for a room that is not on the same side as the street entrance, or possibly a higher floor. Unfortunately we checked in when the hotel was sold out for the night.

Wow what a fantastic Vermont hotel! If you want to feel the full Vermont vibe, you need to stay here. Admittedly, we tried for reservations at a couple of the well known hotel brands first and couldn’t get what we were looking for, so we kind of stumbled onto this hotel. We will make this our new go-to whenever in Burlington. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Love the extra touches in decor, wood fixtures, flannel shirts for some staff. Displays the best of Vermont. Our room overlooked a parking garage and so the windows had a beautiful artistic window scene which allowed light in and yet covered the parking lot scene. Appreciated the night time offerings to encourage good sleep like the “cookies and milk” for kids and adults, as well as a “hot toddy” option or aromatherapy or in-room library. The high end coffee, tea and water stations on each floor are smart and much appreciated. Beautiful hotel that won’t break the bank. It’s so refreshing to find a hotel that cares to put in the extra special touches for their guests and provide a true Burlington, VT experience with all the ultra clean, thoughtful touches of the classiest of hotels. An absolute 5-star hotel in my mind!
