Not a lot to do, very few activities. But a GREAT gym and beautiful views and nice walking trails Stay away from the restaurant. It is mediocre at best and there are many great restaurants within a 20 minute drive. Be careful of restaurant hours in the area as some close on Sundays/Mondays off season.

If you are looking for a quiet place to stay in the mountains of Vermont, the Ascutney Mountain Resort should fit the bill. However, if you are looking for a resort with a lot of activities and nightlife going on, you might want to look at other options. This resort is a large mix of old buildings spreadout at the...

If you are considering booking a suite at Ascutney Mountain Resort, you may want to know the overall set-up of the place. This resort is a standalone establishment in beautiful Vermont countryside not near any shopping or restaurants. It is a campus of several buildings spread around tidy well-kept grounds. The sports complex with a pool, a gym and occasional...

We went for Canadian Thanksgiving. We rented a two bedroom unit. It was fine but old. The kitchen appliances were new but the kitchen itself was sparse. No good knives so we bought a paring knife at the dollar store. I think they want people to use their restaurant. The bathrooms were basic and the tubs need replacing. Not dirty...

We returned to the Ascutney Mountain Resort for a week in the fall and were delighted with the fall colors that surrounded the resort. We used the resort as a base for day trips to see the fall foliage in and around the east coast area. We had a 3 bedroom unit on the top floor that was spacious, clean,...

We celebrated our 15th year anniversary with our two wonderful children. Although its in the middle of nowhere, we were surprise that our children 13 and almost 10 years old would want to come back here. They love the scenic spot over their bedroom, peace and quiet, the rooms are very spacious, very clean, almost everything that you need are...

Visited with friends for the weekend. Beautiful Fall colors on the mountain. Ski area is closed. Pool, tennis, arcade, pool table and game room, movies all on site. Did not eat in the restaruant, but it did smell good everytime we walked through. Parking lot could be better it. Suite was spacious. They turned off the a/c for the winter,...

We stayed here on a fall foliage and covered bridge car trip of Vermon. It is located in the middle of nowhere but that is part of its charm. We requested and received a first floor accommodation. Everything was perfect except the lighting in the bathrooms. It was so dark that you could barely see yourself to do make-up or...

We were guests of my parents who have the timeshare, so I cannot comment on value. Our suite was in the main building on the first floor facing the pond. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath with full kitchen, living room/dining room combo. It was plenty of space for the 4 of us for the 4 nights we stayed...

Everything about this hotel is first class; only exception is the fan in the bathroom which is very noisy and not independent of the light so in the night it could disturb others. Superbly clean and well equipped; they have thought of everything one could require in the kitchen. Huge indoor pool a short ride or easy walk away. Highly...
