The host was most unwelcoming, almost as if we were trespassing. The rooms were cheaply renovated outhouses, dark and dingy. The bed shuddered when the other person moved - we had the worst nights sleep. Our breakfast was tiny compared to other B&Bs, which they tried to disguise with elaborate crockery and table settings. I am amazed at the positive...

I am very sorry our accommodations and greeting were disappointing. We pour our hearts into this inn and genuinely want every experience to be a positive one. We clearly missed the mark during your visit, and for that I sincerely apologize.

The building, accommodations, breakfast and landscaping is all wonderful. That alone gets the place a 5 as the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful too but... I didnt interact with any staff that was knowledgeable of all the history that surrounded us, even restaurant referrals were tempered with "Ive only been here for 3 months". I'm more than confident time...

We were warmly greeted by the Inn's staff which assisted us with our luggage up to our reserved room on the 3rd floor. The room was spacious and bed very comfortable although the air conditioner was a bit noisy. However, the use of ear plugs at night negated the sound. The rather large grounds on which the Inn is situated...

We stayed one night at the Four Chimneys Inn in Bennington, Vermont on our way to a more rustic camping experience. The elegant comfort of this B and B was the perfect preparation for a week of roughing it in the bush. The Inn is a restored 1913 mansion done up in cream and the occasional bit of chintz--there's a...

We spent last night here and fell in love with the house and Bennington. We both agreed that this was our best ever B and B - believe me when I say we have been to many in the States and Europe!! Our room was so comfortable- huge bed and big bathroom. We had a lovely view over the extensive...

We stayed two nights and had a very charming, spacious well appointed room with a private closed in porch. Breakfast is delicious with a variety of selections. The Inn itself is very nice and well kept with beautiful grounds. It's and expensive B&B and I would have expected some extra touches such as fruit or cookies out for the guests,...

If you want a peaceful, clean quaint B&B, within a quarter mile of beautiful Old Bennington and less than 1.5 miles from the town center, look no more. The Four Chimneys, with its cloth-awning front patio, delicious breakfasts and accommodating waitstaff is a great find. Very clean, laid back, and friendly. The inn is set back from West road with...

We spent two nights here in mid-June visiting friends in Bennington. The grounds were lush and green nestled in the beautiful mountains of Vermont. It's location is nearby to some of the most scenic areas of the state. Breakfast was served in an elegant dining room with delicious variety. We enjoyed sitting on the large porch and taking in the...

This is a beautiful, gracious inn. The innkeeper's welcome was warm and friendly, and my room, which overlooked the gardens, was perfect in every way. I particularly appreciated the location -- walking distance to the First Congregational Church, where Robert Frost is buried. And within a mile of the Bennington Museum and the Bennington art galleries. I would definitely stay...

My wife and I enjoyed a night here before heading back to PA. It was an enjoyable experience. Large, very comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Great location and friendly staff. The breakfast was great with your choice of times and dishes.
