Overall, staff is super friendly and helpful. Everyone from the dining staff to front desk to valets. Location is excellent. Ski lift is right outside hotel (starts running at 9am), and you ski right back to the hotel (conditions permitting). The rooms are another story. They are nice, but in need of renovation. We had issues with the dishwasher and...

No available activities, extremely poor transportation options, not really ski in ski out if the lift outside the hotel is not running, which it was not late in December. Bellmen not interested in anything you are doing, cold food (maybe lack of equipment). Cleaners not regular. Staff were not particularly rude but the common area was typically filthy.

I spent 5 nights at this hotel and it was perfect. Our room was large and very clean. The common areas, while not large, are well appointed and perfect for this size property. The food was excellent and the staff made sure all of our needs were met. We will definitely be back!!!

Positives: - Wonderful Real Estate (I would seriously consider purchasing if the management improved) - Great Skiing - Nice staff Negatives: - Restaurant and market offering is too limited - Inexperienced staff, although nice (except ski rentals - see below) - No access to swimming pool from Hotel - you need to walk, ideally run in the cold Major issues:...

Check-in was efficient. Our double queen room was spacious with a balcony, gas fireplace, microwave, and refrigerator. Don't worry if you forgot to pack something-just let the front desk know what you need and they will bring it to you at no charge for most things, including makeup remover, toothbrush, etc. Vicki at the front desk was wonderful and our...

really enjoyed my stay at the hyatt escala. great customer service and very convenient to everything in the canyons resort area. we rented skis, ate dinner, took ski lessons, shopped, all within walking distance to the hotel. it is an easy 10 minute drive to downtown park city too. the only downside is that the corridors and rooms could use...

I was thoroughly impressed...multiple times the staff when the extra mile to help us with all our luggage and ski equipment. They went the extra mile in making us feel comfortable and taken care of. The property was...

Arrived at the hotel to find the drive was not plowed and the extremely slick. I was barely able to make it up to the entry. Check-in went smoothly until I arrived at my room. The door was looked with a privacy sign. I tried the key and was unable to enter my room. No house phones around to call...

The Hotel itself was lovely. Check in and check out were very professional, friendly and quick. We loved the decor and enjoyed the fireplace and couches at the entryway. We also enjoyed complimentary daily hot chocolate bar. Our room was well appointed with a kitchenette, two double beds, fireplace and a nice deck. We were able to purchase breakfast items,...

This has been our 5th visit to escala. On previous visits we have found the resort to be comparable with other high end resorts. However, on this visit we found there were guests that allowed their kids to run wild, jumping on us and throwing snow balls in the ONE hot tub open for guests. The management would not respond...
