When I arrived at 9pm -- the fire alarm was going off. I was told that is was just malfunctioning and they were getting it fixed. At midnight, it was still going off and on and I asked for earplugs, After that, I called the...More

Hello Kcmom 57,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on Trip Advisor. We had a water main coming into our beautiful hotel break unexpectedly. A force majeure accident such as this is something every hotelier dreads. I am proud of how...More

Probably the best service I have ever gotten in my hotel staying experience.
They sent us a card every day, made sure our stay was memorable and the drinks by the pool were cheaper than an average 5 star hotel.

The property and staff is 2nd to none. The location in Park City could not be more majestic. We were presently surprised by the size of the room since we were given a complimentary upgrade to a suite. However, we were celebrating my wife's 40th...More

It is definitely ski in. The ski out, however, requires taking a special small gondola across from the hotel entrance (about 20 yards), which takes you to the base of the canyons and the main mountain chairlifts and shuttles. The hotel gondola is about three-five minutes and drops you off right by a chairlift. You can ski all the way back down to the hotel easily, and do not need to take the gondola back.
There is no village walking distance from the hotel, but they have a shuttle. You can also take the mini gondola back up to the canyons base, which has a few hotels, restaurants, and shops. The main village/town is park city, which is about a 10-15 minute drive from the canyons resort. There are no ski in ski out hotels in the park city town (there is one town chairlift, but do not recommend).
If you want a ski in ski out village, I'd suggest staying at deer valley, which is the closest thing in the park city area, or checking out aspen or Breckinridge in Colorado- those are true ski in, ski out ski towns. Hope this helps!
