The RV and tent campground was definitely one of the prettiest ever, nestled in a canyon of red rocks. However, the one staff member we met was very unfriendly and when we asked about the wi-fi, she said it was bad and that we weren't paying for wi-fi anyway...huh? She placed us behind the office so we could get decent...

Goulding's campground management and staff wants to thank this guest for their honest comments regarding their Monument Valley visit. Located in the middle of the Navajo Indian reservation, this world renowned location definitely gives the visitor the opportunity to visit a different world. Goulding's is a well kept basic western motel, but has one of the most dramatic locations possible. The hotel sits against huge red rock formation, and all rooms face east across the heart of Monument valley. The hotel and rooms were clean, the rooms well equipped and each room has a small private patio or balcony facing Monument Valley. The...

This place was great, really wonderful! The view from our balcony was iconic and at sunset one of the most magnificent I'd ever seen. After a long days driving we ate a more than decent meal in the restaurant and spent a peaceful night in their spacious and comfortable rooms. Waking up in the morning to that 'view' was an...

Goulding's Lodge management and staff is so pleased to hear that this guest enjoyed their stay with us at our historic property. Established in the 1920s as a Navajo Trading Post, Goulding's Lodge definitely gives the guest the true American Southwestern experience. And the view isn't bad either. Thank you so much for your comments!!

Stayed here just one night on a Trafalgar tour, but it was the most memorable. At arriving we had little time because we almost immediately went on a special dinner in to a canyon with Goulding's. Staff did a huge thing by delivering our luggage quick so we could take our fleeces and jacket's out. The room itself was big...

Goulding's Lodge & Tours management and staff is so pleased to hear that this guest enjoyed their overnight stay, Navajo cookout, breakfast and Monument Valley tour that they experienced while touring with their Trafalgar group. On a recent visit to Monument Valley, I stayed two nights in a campground cabin at Gouldings. The site itself is absolutely fine, although there are no views into the valley itself. The cabin was an adequate size for two people and perhaps at the very most a couple of young children. The description of the cabin on the web...

Initially a trading post with the Navajo native Americans, this developed into a hotel for visitors to this beautiful region. A centre for the Western film industry, John Wayne was a frequent vistor. We could not decide to stay at the View Hotel for the view or the Goulding Hotel for the history, we solved it by staying a night at each of them. This place is primarily an RV park, with cabins & a hotel. The facilities are more than adequate, with hot showers almost 24 hrs, laundry, stores, gas, etc. The only problem for us was the tent sites. Very tightly packed into a lower parking area with some fire rings and bbq grills, not necessarily one of each for each site....

When we booked Gouldings in January with our travel agent, the View Hotel was already fully booked so we had no other option.
