First off, being a Marriott Gold, I did not receive any recognition. Gal checking me in told me I got upgraded and even gave me a room card sleeve that says I was upgraded. When we got into the room, it was the same type of room (1 King) I had reserved. It's fine to not upgrade me, but it...

I'm currently staying at the Fairfield inn in Layton as an extended stay due to a job relocation (March through early June). This hotel offers everything you want in this price range. The rooms are a good size, clean, and limited noise. The breakfast has a good variety. Always water, lemon water, and coffee available. Heck they make some nice...

We use the Fairfield Inn in Layton quite often to spend a night when our travels are farther away. The staff is always helpful and the breakfast is very good. I would recommend this hotel for anyone needing a stay near Salt Lake City or the Lagoon Amusement Park. I have no complaints whatsoever

We went to Ogden, UT to visit family. We stayed at the Fairfield Inn. It is a great place. The staff is really friendly and helpful. We went on Saturday for a baptism of a granddaughter. We also went to church on Sunday. The manager allowed us to check out late on Sunday so we didn't have to pack and...

Room was not badly appointed, but breakfast area and gym were tiny. Mostly disappointed with all, bar two staff members (curly haired, middle-aged lady with specs.. and young evening check-in girl - who were lovely). The rest, including the manager, were predominantly absent, or perfunctory with minimal smiles and effort. If cookies were out on one of the evenings, they...

Dear Cello88, Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review on TripAdvisor. I believe however that you may have stayed at our sister property TownePlace Suites. Based on the description of the staff and hotel areas you gave, it sounds like you the hotel we share a parking lot with. I have passed along your review...

My experience at this hotel results in an overall marginal rating (just below satisfactory). It truly feels like an upgraded Motel 6. As you walk in the front door, the lobby is tiny and a quick glance to the left allows you to see the smaller than average breakfast area. The two business computers and printers are right out in...

Not fancy but adequate. Bed was firm, room clean, front desk and dining area workers pleasant -- all except one. On my last evening I called the front desk around 9:15 PM to request a wake up call at 6:30 am. I was greeted with: "how about you calling us at 5 AM and waking us up" in a very...

Dear Woodsnottraveled, I am so sorry for your recent experience at the Fairfield. It is completely unacceptable for any of my staff to speak that way to a guest. I would like to look into who was working the front desk that night. If you could please email me directly at jessicas@wslm.biz, so we can further discuss your stay. I...

Everything we requested was ready and honored. Staff was nice I have come to expect this with Marriott properties. They do great in this department. Bedding was good and comfy. The room was clean except for a weird sticky stain on the carpet and a damp smell. The smell may have just been the AC it seems it had been...
