This is a great place to tow your Motor Home or trailer into. There are few trees to escape the heat in this town but the camp ground has a shade tree at every sight. The restrooms and showers are clean and well kept. It is an easy place to use as a base for visiting the many beautiful locations... More

We pulled in to the campsite and were pleased with how green it was and the distance between camp sites. Ned, the host was very nice. This is an ok place to stay if you are just passing through and just need to sleep. There is nothing to do in Green River. There are a couple of restaurants and a... More

We stopped for two nights here. My husband played golf at the Green River State park. It's a sweet little 9 hole course, but fun to play. The camp sites are shaded and nicely separated. It's a little pricey for a state campground, but there isn't a lot of choices in the neighborhood. We did hear the trains, but they... More

Our expectations for this camping event were heightened when we saw how clean and pretty the campground is - very nicely laid out, each site with table, campfire ring, and plenty of room between sites. Our expectations were dashed, however, after dark, when the freight trains blare their horns for miles as they approach the bridge over the Green River.... More

We've travelled a lot to Canyonlands and each year it is busier and harder to have the outdoor experience we're seeking, when getting close to Moab. When heading home (north to Canada) this year, we settled into Green River State Park for a few nights to enjoy some lovely weather and some of the hikes and tours available from here.... More

The campground has lots of mature trees well placed over large open grass areas perfect for multiple tents per site. The sites along the river have a chain link fence to help keep kids from wondering into the water. Each site has water and electric hookups. Our particular site, 29, had the picnic and firepit area away from the campground... More

Were visiting with friends and the campground worked out well. Not the best, lots of large groups who take over the bathroom and showers but Green River is a staging area for river trips so this is not unexpected. Just had to scurry for the shower when you saw a break in traffic. Showers were warm but not hot, but... More

Paved and well spaced out sites. Most have electric and water with some sewer hookups. Very nice shower stalls. Campground is set next to a golf course and it also has many trees, making it a relaxing atmosphere. River can be accessed from campground.

Green River State Park Campground is a great resting point in a convenient location. My wife, daughters (ages 11 and 10) and i stayed here for two nights as part of a family vacation. My wife and younger daughter had never camped before. I highly recommend it! During our two nights we saw a wide array of camping equipment: old... More
