Kodachrome is a perfect name for this state park......of course, many of our younger generation will not be familiar with the word 'Kodachrome'......so, for them......Kodachrome was the name of Kodak corporation's film that was very good for COLOR photos.

Walking is sometimes a problem for me at high altitudes. From the Welcome center/Entrance to the park, stay on the paved road until you get back to the Oasis Group Area. (Restrooms are there too). The Nature Trail from the Oasis group area is very short, easy and flat for walk

The colours at sunset are magnificent. The park rangers are very helpful. This is great for camping and quite basic. We did a few short walks but mostly drove around and looked at scenery. KOA is about 9 miles away if you need an RV park or Campground

Our pitch was large and was mostly surrounded by hedges which made it very private. There is a fire pit and it could be used when we were there (early May).

The showers have been refitted and are fantastic - spacious, clean and stylish.

Hi folks....passing through in August this year, with motorcycle and hammock.....I know this will sound stupid, but do the sites have a couple trees to hang from...? They don't even need to be super close, I got rope.... Regards, Gerald
