We entered through the front door and wondered around until we found a very sweet young lady back in the office located in the middle of the house. She asked if we had a reservation and then showed us to our room. The house is very authentic to the 1800's with antiques, but very cluttered with stuff in every corner...

Katie, I certainly appreciate your input and we always try to make improvements based our customer's needs. With 12 rooms we have been in a two year program to replace all the heating/cooling units in all rooms. The Governor's room is the only one remaining for replacement. Our online description describes all the mansion rooms having either a tub or...

So glad they had an opening after our first night in Winnsboro, when they were full. It was like coming home again. Tim, the owner, always remembers our name and you just get a real welcoming warm, fuzzy feeling as soon as you step on the property. We will never stay anyplace else in town if they have an opening....

This is by far the best B&B to stay in. It is comfortable, cozy, quiet, and charming with lots of character and beautiful antiques. Nice landscaping for those who enjoy the outdoors and even a fenced in swimming pool. I've had business meetings and special dinners here as well. I love the hospitality!

Cannot say enough about how wonderfully relaxing and peaceful our stay was. My Husband and I have experienced plenty of B&B’s across the country, and we both agree, that hands down this place is at the very top of our list of “must do again”. Tim Carmichael has owned this vintage mansion since 1999 and definitely is “the Hostess with...

I stayed here while I was interviewing for a position at a local hospital. The property is beautiful and the antiques were lovely. My room was a generous size and was very clean. The owner, Tim, was eager to talk about the history of the place and was very knowledgeable about the local environment and business establishments. Breakfast was very...

“I stayed in the mansion, which had a lot of character. There is also a carriage house which has rooms that are less formal but just as nice.”

“All are good. The rooms on the north side of the mansion are a little quieter when the trains pass through town. The pricier rooms are more spacious of course. There are really no "bad" rooms, just some better than others.”
