We didn't even want to get up the next morning. The breakfast was delicious and house has tons of British charm. The hostesses we so welcoming and friendly....

The other five-star reviews aren't lying: This is a great B&B. Let me just mention a few of the things we particularly enjoyed. First, the location is great, on a street with several other charming old houses. The 4-mile walking trail along the Waxahachie Creek is close; it runs between two parks and is a great place to walk, run,...

We picked this wonderful B&B because we are anglophiles and loved the pictures on the website showing the charming house and the beautiful decor. We love Waxahachie anyway and love to tour the vintage homes on the annual tour, but wanted to book a weekend away for the holiday and enjoy a longer visit. From the moment we arrived, we...

My wife had not reserved a room and Howard kindly got a room ready at short notice. We had the room with the balcony, it was magic sitting up there having sundowners. The Inn was very comfortable and Howard is very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and local history. If ever in Waxahachie we would stay there again 👍

We stayed here one night on a road trip between Houston and Dallas. The inn was incredibly charming, breakfast was delicious and Mary and Howard were magnificent hosts. In particular, I have a tree nut allergy and forgot to notify them in advance. They went out of their way to accommodate my allergy at the last minute at breakfast which...

As Anglophiles, staying here was an easy choice. Beautiful home, lovely decor and THE BEST BED! Loved our room, and bathroom. I actually soaked in the tub just because I could...very relaxing! Outstanding breakfast with another couple...perfect 10! Bring some bath salts/bubbles and enjoy your stay. Oh, and Howard is wonderful and very helpful!!

Innkeepers Mary and Howard were incredibly kind and gracious, going out of their way to ensure my partner and I were comfortable and very well fed :-) Breakfast was sumptuous and beautiful: Prosciutto-wrapped melon to start, followed by a cheesy frittata with farm sausage and fresh-baked cranberry and orange scones served on antique French porcelain plates. We splurged on a...

A top-shelf B&B...defined by both the beauty and comfort of the rooms/home, as well as the charm and grace of the hosts! Mary and Howard have truly hit the sweet spot with the detailed appointments, yet welcoming feel of their home. The uncommonly large bedrooms were a welcomed bonus, and the English finishings are second-to-none. The breakfast was delicious and...

I stayed at The English Merchant's Inn with my three daughters for a girls' getaway weekend, and we all loved it! It is so charming and cozy, and the room was nice and large with plenty of room for all four of us to stay together. The food was delicious, and the hosts are delightful. We would definitely love to...

We stayed one night and wished we could stay more. It was so relaxing and the bed was comfy and breakfast was yummy. The furnishings were tasteful without being stuffy and the owners, Mary and Harold, we're welcoming and very helpful. The downtown square is only a few blocks away and was very fun to walk around and shop and...
