My wife and I wanted to get away from the city but didn’t want to travel too far; I looked up a few places near Lost Maples and was fortunate to find this place. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing spot, this is it. The cabins are well kept and comfortable. The grounds are amazing. We enjoyed the absolute silence and tranquility. We heard nothing but birds and wind chimes. We fell in love with the night sky and did not want to leave. The area is close to Lost Maples and is a place we will visit often. We highly recommend this for a quiet getaway.
Our host Sophie and Jason are one of the most pleasant host we have met. My wife and I stay only in B&B and were treated to a wonderful experience. The home is located on Dorcas Bay so the water is great for swimming and all water sports. There are kayaks and canoes to use as guests. The rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was made to order. The guest area is the main floor of the house and includes Games and workout area. If you are looking for a piece of heaven in the Tobermory area this is your place. We will be back.
Easy to find...camp site we had was level and close to a dammed up stream. fire ring and hammock ( hammock was sorta old,but worked...) Very peaceful and not a lot of traffic or people. Would stay there again.
We were a little concerned with the lack of information on this Peace of Heaven, but we decided to give it a shot. We made a great choice! If you are looking for resort atmosphere you will want to look elsewhere. What Peace of Heaven gives you is quiet. As a matter of fact we were the only ones there. We arrived Tuesday afternoon in our 5th wheel toy hauler and found the place deserted. There was a note on the office door with our camping assignment. We found our spot, hooked up to their facilities, which were adequate and clean and enjoyed the next tow days. The road going in is gravel and rough, if you want to ride your bike and are afraid of gravel roads, you might reconsider. We saw three RV spots, all with water and electricity and one with sewer. We also saw three modern log cabins, which looked nice from the outside. We enjoyed all the cedar trees and Evans Creek, which is a spring fed creek that has been dammed up to provide a crystal clear and cool swimming hole. Nights were enjoyed by cooking and eating at our site and streaming pandora, yes the wifi is good. Don't expect to get much cell service and we didn't try the TV. This campground hit the spot and will be on our top list of "let's go back." Our rate was $25 per night. We seemed to be far from stores and restaurants, so bring what you need.…
We have stayed at A Piece of Heaven twice. It is very restful and quiet. There are several log cabins to choose from nestled under the trees. Each cabin has it's own kitchen and can sleep 6-8 people depending on which cabin you reserve. It is a popular place so you do need to make reservations. The river is just a few steps away and a dam of the spring feed creek creates a wonderful swimming area. The hosts are great and very helpful. Fire rings are available at each cabin. We cooked over the fire each night and the kids had a great time with "camping". I do recommend this to anyone wanting a little out of the way place to stay.
