After a long , hot trip across I-10 in south Texas, this oasis did not have hot water for a shower, a non-working room phone, a non-working alarm clock, and a breakfast that was not palatable.

This Hampton Inn is clean, comfortable, with good security.
Van Horn is a pass through kinda town. I’ve stayed at several places & Hampton Inn is definitely the best.
I wish their morning coffee were better, but can’t beat it for free.

Perfectly reasonable place to stay on a long road trip. Comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was quite decent. They are very welcoming to dogs. Excellent value, This was my second time through Van Horn in a short period of time and I would definitely stay here...More
A friendly staff, excellent service and a more than comfortable room. High quality room amenities and they truly back their claim that if you forget something, they will provide it, with compliments.Busy, so make reservations early

The true answer is no. At first I was told that my room was a pet-free room but when I questioned it the front desk clerk said that there are no rooms that haven't had dogs in them but they are cleaned so well that you would never know if......I definitely knew I was in a room that had had a pet in it. It smelled like a dog. The following morning the new clerk said that they are a pet-friendly hotel so no room is pet free. Not happy.😤

Hello! Currently we are not planning on any renovation work to take place. It would be best to call directly to hotel when you make your final plans to make sure no construction work will be going on.
