The rooms were dirty upon check in, trash on the floor and tables. Mold on the ceiling in spots, paint peeling from inner door, the TV wouldn't program, beds were not made. The shower rod was broke from the wall and had no curtain. Bath towels and wash cloths were old and didn't appear to be very clean. This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. This location is very outdated. The pictures on their website does not match the room I stayed in.
Paid extra to have a "kitchenette" because we wanted a fridge and microwave, maybe a coffee maker (all other description of rooms seem to not have these items at this time). Nothing worked- half the lights would not turn on, there was no power to any kitchen appliances. Every attempt to go to front office had a "back in a few minutes" sign on door. Gave up and just paid extra for takeout. No dishes in the "kitchenette" to use except 1 spoon to share and a cup. On checkout, mentioned this to the front desk person who told me I should have told them yesterday and they would have moved us. Not sure when I would have done that considering they were always on break. Have yet to hear from manager despite calling myself several times- always being told the manager is not in. Oh, and the bathroom shares a vent with the neighbors, so I was able to hear their conversations as if they were in the room with me. Don't waste your money, there is a nicer looking hotel next door, and it costs about the same.…
We stayed in a kitchenette room. I wasn’t expecting much out of a motel 6 but the floors horrified me. They definitely had never been swept or mopped EVER. My children’s feet were completely black to the point you could not see their skin at all. So the kitchenette items were useless to us as I felt like the dishes would probably be dirty too and I was afraid to use anything. I have never been to a hotel- or any business- with such extremely dirty floors. If I would have had access to a broom and a mop I would’ve cleaned it myself, it was that bad.
Visited my parents for the weekend! So chose to stay at Motel 6 cheap and Convient and also close by our parents home! Room was very clean and front desk lady very polite! Will be staying here for our future visits.
Decent accommodations. Pros: (1) price for area, (2) clean fake wood floors and sheets, (3) friendly staff, (4) turned on A/C unit in anticipation of our arrival when 100 degrees outside. Cons: (1) double not queen beds making two adults sleeping uncomfortable, (2) hard beds, (3) A/C struggled to keep up, (4) no hair dryer, and (5) no shampoo. All in all, not a bad Motel 6.
Terrible stay booked two rooms with kitchenettes. Rooms were full of dust because of construction going on right across the street. Rooms were hot did not cool off, loud, bathtub had no drain stopper to take baths for three kids. Not enough bath towels for three kids ask for more they didn't have them. And the last kicker was there was no batteries in the TV remote.
I stayed here with my family and we rented out 6 rooms for 2 nights and the price was right. However, the parking was odd and we had to park kind of far to get to our rooms. Also, the AC unit did not work and we needed to buy fans for all the rooms. Also, our hotel card that lets you in kept getting deactivated and we had to walk to the office from the second floor to get it reactivated. What was scary is the fact I went down there said my room key was not working, gave her my room number and she just gave me another one. No questions ask, no need to show any ID.....I guess I could have said any room and just got a key. Overall, what we paid was fine but other than that I am never staying at this hotel again.
The duvet had dried blood on it. We had the clean the headboard to remove unknown splatter, and the place had fleas. Now we do. The toilet had a leak, floor was wet when we entered. Won't stay here again. Stay someplace else.
service was excellent but the beds were small and uncomfortable, I just wanted to go home. They do allow dogs so that was good but it felt so sterile and cold not homey at all The basebosard needed to be properly attached and it needed touch up paint with the correct color
Decent hotel, price is a little too high. Not sure why the cost is $70+ for a one bed hotel in a little "no-name" town. Not to disparage Uvalde but how many people have actually heard of this city outside 100 mi radius? We were passing thru to Garner State Park and chose this hotel over the Holiday Inn Express which was $114 a night w/o tax!!! The hotel had a modern look to it and was spacious however they lacked an iron and a hair dryer. We would most likely stay here again.
