I hesitate to write a review because it is already hard enough to get a reservation, but I have to say that the Cypress View Cabin is perfect in every way. Thank you Patti and Jay, we had a great time.
My husband and I spent a week in Caddo Cabin, and couldn’t have been happier with everything about this lovely cabin! It’s clean, comfortable, and perfectly located to enjoy everything Caddo Lake has to offer. Everything we could possibly need was taken care of. We just got home and are already talking about when we can go back!
Glamping = glamorous camping. We don't like the idea of camping in a tent, but we still like to spend time outdoors. This cabin is perfect. We got to spend time doing outdoorsy activities, like grilling hot dogs and s'mores in the the fire pit. But, we also had access to a warm bed, shower and toilet, satellite TV and Wifi, kitchen with fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. We'll be back!
I rented the Sough View Cabin for two nights, a very spontaneous trip. It was exactly what I needed. If you are looking for a homey, relaxing spot, this is it! Everything was clean and set up in a lovely way. Caddo Lake and the surrounding areas are magical and allowed me to reconnect. Patti was a dream to work with as well! The reservation process and check-in were a breeze.
We spent a weekend at Heart's Cottage, and it wasn't near long enough. I rented it for my grandson's birthday. He loves to fish, and this was perfect. He caught a 6.5 lb Blue Catfish, and his friend caught a 7 lb Blue. The stars at night were unbelievable! We heard two owls talking to each other, saw lightening bugs, and a variety of birds. I will absolutely rent again.
I can't say enough about this amazing tiny house (the Caddo Cabin)! It was the perfect landing spot for our family of 4 during our trip to Caddo lake! The screened in porch is perfect! The cabin is very well appointed, we had no trouble preparing all our own meals. I think it's the best place to stay in Uncertain! I hope we get to return, maybe in the fall when the trees are red! Would recommend to any traveler coming to the area!
We rented the Slough View Cabin for 2 nights and were extremely pleased. If you are looking for a place that is reasonably priced and has the comforts of home, look no further. We loved being able to pull up close to the porch to unload. This cabin is great for a couple, but could potentially fit 3-4 if you don’t mind being close. It is one room but it is a HUGE room. Everything you need is provided. Satellite TV, free WiFi, a full size refrigerator, fully stocked kitchen area, a kitchen table and chairs, couch, rocker, along with the little extras like books to read and movies to watch. The cabin has overhead ceiling fans and even A/C. The King size bed is great. We enjoyed sitting outside in the oversized, fully screened in porch, watching and listening to the birds and other wildlife. The porch even has a large fan to keep you cool on those hot days. The outside is ready for you to grill out or have a camp fire. The hosts even provide a golf cart for you to use free of charge. We used it to visit their lake access just down the road and you can also grab one of their free canoes or kayaks and go out on the lake. Give Patti or Jay a call for a great experience and you too will see how much time, effort and thought they put into their property to make your stay a great one. And one last comment, the place was exceptionally clean!…
We stayed at Heart’s Cottage on Big Cypress Bayou over Thanksgiving. The place is great. It has a gas fireplace, comfortable furniture and good beds with nice linens. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean. There were nice views of the bayou. We will be back.
Sweetie and went over a three day Thanksgiving Weekend. The cabin is really cute, great drive up appeal. It’s bigger than it looks. The interior is country cuteness with lots of adorable touches. There is a very subtle theme of doors and door knobs that I really liked. The place was spotless. Nice new towels, comfortable bathroom. We both noticed how good the TP was, it’s usually awful in septic tank systems. The linens were suitable, there was a beautiful old quilt, hand embroidered. I loved imagining how many had slept under it over the decades. The views are spectacular. The screened in porch that faces the woods is amazing. The scenery changes slowly through the day. When you want to feel like a true tourist, jump on their electric frog, some call a “golf cart”, and ride it down to the Shady Glade for breakfast. The owners were very easy to deal. They answered all my questions and responded quickly to an easy issue. We never met them in person and that’s fine by us.…
Caddo cabin is on Caddo Lake in Eastern Texas. It is a wonderful get away from the bustle of the city. It is remote and that is exactly what we wanted. When I say remote, I don't mean unpopulated, just off the beaten trail. No worries, the roads are paved. Our vacation was pegged only for relaxation, no trips, no things to do, just relax. We have a campfire, cooked burgers on the grill, slept in, went to bed late, sat on the porch, and watched a little football and a movie or two. There were bicycles available and we went on a short trip to explore the area and get a soda at the local dock and restaurant. The scenery was beautiful. A golf cart is available if you can't bicycle or walk. We rode to the dock owned by the cabins and just enjoyed the scenery of the lake. We didn't go canoeing but it is free if you desire to go. The cabin was decorated nicely and very comfortable. It may well be the best stocked cabin we have ever stayed in. No complaints. We had a wonderful, relaxing time. Be sure to take your vacation attitude with you. No worries, be adaptable, be kind, and enjoy.…
