My husband and I stayed at Chanticleer Lodge for one night to celebrate our anniversary. It was so wonderful to be able to unplug and just enjoy each other's company in such a beautiful natural setting. We used the outdoor grill to cook our dinner, and enjoyed watching deer and fireflies at night while eating dinner in the screened-in porch....

I needed a little getaway, but didn't want to be in the car long since I commute at least 2 hours a day to work. This was perfect, because I needed nature too, and quiet. I drank in the quiet and beauty. When I arrived and walked into the cabin, tears came to my eyes. There was soft music and...

I surprised my husband for his birthday by coming to this lovely cozy cabin. The cabin had everything we needed. You can see the lake when you are relaxing in the covered patio. It even had a barbecue pit! We loved it. We are planning to go back soon.

What a beautiful cabin for two! My girlfriend and I had our own private lake front, plenty of privacy, and the friendliest of hosts. We lucked out with fresh eggs from the chickens one morning of our stay. We spent a good amount of time on the front porch, enjoying the sunrise and sometimes just the solitude and beauty. We...

Most peaceful and friendly, very quiet. Loved the animals the deer, roadrunners and other wildlife were very enjoyable to watch. The cabin was very comfortable and air conditioning welcomed. The screened in patio with fireplace came in handy on one evening and the grill was put to good use. Chanticleer was easy to locate, also other activities in area to...

We were looking for a peaceful rest from our daily living and this place hit the spot. So simply beautiful, tranquil and very peaceful! The cabin was rustic and very nice. The view of the wildflowers and lake was so very peaceful and the birds were so joyous. It was very relaxing to us.

We wanted the cabin to be a wonderful get-away, where you could put the issues of the day behind you... I think we are on the right path, judging from your glowing review... Thanks!

A beautiful cabin, homemade granola and chocolate chip cookies, fields of wildflowers, two sweet donkeys, lakefront property, a screened in porch with fireplace, a hammock...what else could you possibly ask for? It's such a pleasure to be able to leave a 100% positive review. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

We have enjoyed several stays at Chanticleer. It's very peaceful here, we love it! I saw my first humming bird nest ever in the oak tree just off of the porch this time!. The cabin keepers are awesome people, if you get a chance you have to stay here! Kellee and Larry Lemons

My wife and I spent our anniversary weekend at this wonderful cabin. It is on Lake Travis in the Spicewood area. It is set on a number of quiet acres and your only neighbors are a couple of donkeys and chickens. The big surprise for us is that on top of the cabin was a screened patio with a fireplace...
