Price is very reasonable. However I had reserved king sized bed and when i arrived I was told they did not have any king sized beds available. Also no ice was available, they said ice machine was broken. Plus dead bolt lock on room door was not working.

Just passing through and decided to save a few dollars and stay the night here based on reviews. This will now be our regular stopover spot! With tax we paid $60 for the night. Clean, clean, clean (and my standards are VERY high!) The towels were thick and fluffy and the bedding was thick and fluffy, too. The A/C worked like a charm and the water was hot and the water pressure was excellent. The front desk even provided a toothbrush when I’d realized I’d left mine behind. The clientele were just regular folks passing through and NOT the long term type that you see at some of these places. Don’t pay more for less….stop here when you are passing through Snyder!

We enjoyed staying at this family-owned establishment on our way to Rocky Mountain National Park so much that we made a point of stopping by again on our way back home. The room had everything we needed, the shower was hot, the AC was cold and the people were friendly.

Worst room ever. No hot water at the sink, microwave didn't work, no soap at all, no coffee for the little brewer, no iron in the wall holder. To top it off the maid woke me up well before checkout time so she could get her day over with. It's cheap and you get what you pay for. I was there for the Snyder bike rally. Next year I will get a quality room for a few more $$$.

I stumbled across this mom and pop on my way to Amarillo. I went in to check it out and loved it. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the room met my OCD cleanliness standards. It’s obvious that owners take great pride in their place. An absolute gem!

We booked a king room but were told that the cleaning crew didn't come in so we needed to get a different room. Then we were charged an extra $10 for that as if it was our fault that the room wasn't clean. Took a good 15-20 minutes to get the door unlocked because the card wasn't working, water took about 5 minutes to warm up enough to get into the shower but other then that, we loved it. Room was very big and clean, bigger then average fridge, beds and bedding were comfortable, you could tell that they just did an update on the room. Didn't get to try breakfast, but oh well. Good location, good service, just wish it had been a bit better.

I stayed here as others in the area had no rooms , to my surprise this motel was a great value. Room was above average and the bathroom could of been a bit cleaner but what is expected for the value. The breakfast area was very limited on choices but nice and clean. As others have noted I like being able to park the car in front of the room , old motel style. If you enjoy a value and don’t need to stay at a 4 star hotel this is the place. This one is definitely a support local business facility !

- Owners are so very friendly! and helpful - Great location next to Interstate - Motel style so can park car outside room (great for us since it was loaded with stuff) - If you have a dog, the dog friendly rooms they showed us to were AWFUL!!! Must ask for a renovated room Initially we were given a key to a dog friendly room (3 dogs) which happened to be a long term stay room at back of complex. Room was dirty, had no toilet seat, run down and quite frankly, a little scary. I told my 8 year old to get back in car and we drove back to front desk. If he did not give us the second room, a beautiful clean and newly renovated room close to front of hotel, we would have left and gone to a chain hotel. Our experience with the second room was great - had a great sleep - and would definitely recommend. Would have given 4 stars if we had started in the second room.

I booked Purple Sage Motel because my choices were limited traveling cross-country with my dog and the Tripadvisor reviews were surprisingly positive. I have to wonder why. I really dislike writing negative reviews, but I don't like being misled myself and I don't feel right not warning others who follow if reviews don't meet expectations. It's especially hard if the owners and staff are nice, which the people we met definitely are. If I hadn't prepaid, I'd have turned around the minute we pulled into the parking lot. First impressions are not good. Reception was friendly and check-in was quick...then there was the room. Pros: The a/c worked well and drowned out any ambient noise. The bed and linens were comfortable and clean. Plenty of hot water and water pressure. The fridge and freezer worked well. There is grass for dogs. It's cheap. Cons: The room was run-down and shabby. The desk chair was filthy and leaned to one side (see photo). The light in the bathroom was out (which we didn't realize until after dark when we returned from dinner). We had to use the heat lamp for light, not great in August. The phone was not functioning, dirty, and missing buttons (see photo). There was a hole in one wall and many dings in another. The blinds on the window are bent and flimsy. (There are curtains, but they didn't quite close, so felt a little exposed.) The light switches by the bed were gummy. There's only one chair for the table (in a king bedroom). Freezer was dirty. One bedside lamp was out. The pool was green and not in use. (see photo) My husband killed a roach running across the wall by the bed just before lights out. (I know they can just run in despite spraying and we didn't see any others, but still.) I would not stay here again.

I read a few reviews of others but thought I'd give this place a try and I'm very impressed! They have renovated the rooms very nicely and provide everything you can imagine and expect at places costing much more. They even have a nice pool and free breakfast! I travel alot and this is just as nice as the bigger names like Red Roof Inn, Holiday Inn Express, etc,..but more affordable. Try them out! I'll be back for sure!
