I was very happy with my stay at the Desert Air Motel. For $42/night, you can't beat the amenities - refrigerator, microwave, and TV. Plus it was clean. Last but not least, the staff was prompt and friendly. I would stay here again without a...More

We stayed here mid May for one night as we were passing through. We found the owners very friendly and the manager very jovial. They are recent owners of this motel and still learning the trade. The rooms are set back from the roadway and...More

I reviewed this motel in Dec. 2012. I spent another night there in Dec. 2014. Earlier this year the owner was killed in a freak motorcycle accident, and the place has new owners. They too are very friendly and had no problem with my dog...More

About
Description
Roadside motel in Sanderson, Texas along Hwy 90. Motel has clean, comfortable rooms with antique furniture. Shaded outside eating and grilling area in center of parking lot. Sturdy construction from the 1950s. We ...More are the fifth owners of the motel. We will be improving the outdoor lounge area with more shade and seating in the center island as well as on the side of the building. Will slowly upgrade rooms with new flooring and paint first. Gradual remodel will embrace the 1950's vintage feel of the motel and will reconstruct a new sign in the original design of the first sign. One of three motels in the small town of Sanderson. Perfect overnight stay for travelers on a road trip, or those making the West Texas desert and Big Bend National Park a destination. It situated perfectly for travelers headed along the Texas border and for those that want to get off Hwy 10 sooner. The closest town from Sanderson is an hour away. The next closest town with more that one hotel is two. Less
