The Tarpon Inn is a charming place in the heart of Port Aransas.  The room was cute, quiet and clean enough. The decor had a rustic charm with shiplap wood walls, wood floor and a queen size bed that sat high off the floor. The room had no TV, which adds to the quiet feel.  The room was air conditioned...

I had some trouble booking online, thought I booked onsite with 2 beds. Went to check in and they told me I had booked offsite with one queen. I was very worried because I had a large family. I did not know I booked offsite either. The staff appologized for the confusion and ended up putting us in the Fisherman's...

No TV, cold, rustic rooms with lots of history. Long patios with rocking chairs and all within walking distance of waterfront restaurants. Rooms are a bit small so I don't recommend for large families.

I am so glad I let my husband talk me into staying here. I really love this hotel. My first stay was last year for our anniversary. Our room last year was a single bed room, and the room was clean, and eclectic collection of furniture. Loved the iron claw tub. This year, we came as a family for vacation....

We enjoyed our stay at the Tarpon Inn. Our room was clean and well furnished. The bathroom could have done with a lick of paint and some hooks to dry towels. The roof was completely overhauled during our stay so the owner is clearly investing in the hotel. The grounds were nicely landscaped and the pool area was tranquil and...

The room (#24) was very small, and the arrangement of the bathroom was a little strange. The shower and toilet were in one very tiny room, and the sink and small mirror were in the room next to the dresser and bed. Soap/shampoo/conditioner and shower towels were provided, and when we left the "do not disturb" sign on the door,...

I had been wanting to stay at the Tarpon for about 15 years, but we always stayed a little closer to the beach. I only had 2 nights of the Memorial weekend free to go to Port Aransas and Tarpon Inn happen to have a room available online. I was excited. We actually stayed in an Efficiency on Brown Street...

We've been to Port Aransas many many times, but this was our first stay at the Tarpon Inn. Things we loved about it: It's rich in history. The location is great, unless you want to walk to the beach, it's a bit far for that, however, it is a short walk to shops, bars, restaurants, and the marina. The long...

We stayed for three nights during Spring Break. This is a charming, historic, OLD, hotel. It's not a Holiday Inn - the rooms are very small and each room is different. My mother's room had a small closet and a tile shower (#32). My room had hooks to hang clothes, no closet and a plastic insert shower (#33). I had...

This was a very nice hotel. Trip Advisor lists it as a B&B, but it is a hotel. It was in a great locatio, close to every thing in town. It was quiet. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. However, I am not sure I would stay here again unless there were no other hotels availabe. The...
