We were looking for a quiet B&B near the water and (fortunately) all of Galveston was booked up because of a motorcycle rally (whew, close call, glad we missed that). Stumbled on Peaceful Pelican and couldn't have been happier with results. Very nice and quiet, vary comfortable rooms with comfortable, firm bed, and absolutely great breakfasts. Chef Ruth was doing...

Peaceful and comfortable indeed. It had an eccentric yet inviting style. My parents and I wanted a unique spot near the ocean, and we had exactly what we hoped for. Paula made us feel right at home, and Ruth was an exceptional chef. The room was (third-floor suite) was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was utterly delicious. I definitely recommend...

An eclectically tastefully appointed B&B that is comfortable and well-run, as well as pet friendly; the latter is unusual among older, antique-filled bed and breakfasts. The food is all fresh and well-prepared. This is a very nice place for quiet time, with the bayside walk running for miles just across the street and Pelicans and other coastal birds on constant...

Better than any hotel! Ruth was so sweet and made a delicious breakfast! We stayed in the Third Floor suite and it was breathtaking. The room was beautiful with a comfy king size sleep number. My husband and I truly did not want to leave. Having the bayview and it just a walk across the street was the cherry on...

Wife and I stayed here for two nights. We really enjoyed our time here. I really enjoyed that this was a historic building and is very well kept. It is located walking distance to a few lighted fishing piers and a restaurant. The people we met while staying here were friendly. It is a very quiet house with lots of...

My wife and I enjoyed our one night stay at the Peaceful Pelican in Palacios recently (July, 2016). It is a nicely furnished old home on the quiet, east side of the Palacios bay, right across the street from the water. The wife liked the antiques and furnishings. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very nice. Breakfast...

My husband and I had a wonderful, romantic stay at this lovely B&B. The name is very fitting - very peaceful. The room was very inviting and the view from our room was beautiful. We really enjoyed the 4 course dinner Chef Ruth prepared on Saturday night which included a shrimp appetizer, salad, pecan crusted fish fillet and ended with...

The owner was extremely friendly greeting us upon arrival and after showing us to our ground floor suite gave us a complete description of area and local attractions. The historic three story house is furnished with antiques and is quite charming. Paula, the owner treats you as family friend. The breakfast was excellent. There is a park and lighted pier...

This is a lovely place to stay in a very quiet town by the sea. We extended our stay due to heavy rain causing flooding towards Corpus Christi. What better place to sit out the storm. Paula was very welcoming and served top notch breakfasts, and we got to meet interesting fellow guests. The town itself is very quiet. I'd...

This was a great couples getaway in a remote area. The new owner is making some outside updates to this historical three story building. It was comfortable and so unique! We appreciated the beautiful view from our third story room! You would have to be in good physical shape to climb the steep last leg of the stairs, so if...
