Spent the weekend with our biker friends at the Stag Leap. The owners were the nicest couple and so accommodating to meet our needs being that we were on motorcycles. The road leading up to the office was great but the roads to each of the cabin were not bike friendly. They allow to use the golf cart to get...

We stay at Dos Stowey over the Easter weekend and we LOVE IT! The room has only one king size bed but the owner prepare two extra pads for additional bedding. That works out great for us. For two days we staying there, we hardly see any people there in the paly area. We pretty much own the entire property...

We stayed in the smaller Doe Stowey Cabin and it was large enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. It was very comfortable and the golf carts were a hit with the kids! We saw deer, rabbits, turtles and fireflies! The cabins are very secluded and aren't visible to each other. The decor was tasteful and the king bed was...

My wife and I have had the opportunity to stay at Stag Leap several time over the past few years. We are business owners in Houston and this wonderful place has become our personal getaway retreat. We are able to rest and recharge in a private cabin of our choice surrounded by a beautiful wooded property. An unexpected treat for...

My husband and I wanted to have a short little getaway before school starts back up. I've never been to this part of Texas before and when searching for places to stay that were private and secluded, Stag Leap was in the list. It sounded exactly like what I was looking for, even a private outdoor jacuzzi at their most...

Our family has enjoyed 5 different stays at Stag Leap. Every year our sons and our Grandkids want to return for the next year; they never get tired of being at Stag Leap. Wayne and Mattie are very gracious and accommodating hosts; they want their guests to enjoy their facility, and do everything they can to accomplish that goal.

The Stag Leap Country Inn was the right choice for my boyfriend and I over Memorial Day weekend 2014. We wanted somewhere with peace and quiet and the place had it in abundance! We toured and shopped Nacogdoches which is only a short drive from the Stag Leap. Mattie was a sweet hostess and the cabin had everything we needed...

My cousin attends Stephen F. Austin State University. We went to Nacogdoches, TX to visit him (charming place). I was not interested in staying in motels or 3 star hotels so we luckily found Stag Leap Country Inn. Our cabin was named: Harts Landing (we had 3 adults and 2 children in our group). This cabin was perfectly suited for...

We spent three winter months in the Harts Landing cabin and found the place charming. The 200 plus acres of deep woods and golf cart paths are perfect for hiking and bike riding. Mattie, Wayne, and Kirby are the perfect hosts….They were there when we wanted information or help, and otherwise, our stay was very private. All of the cabins...
