The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The beds are fabulous and it is very quiet. The staff we encountered were all very friendly. The breakfast was however, non existent. The first morning there was one piece of fruit and some cereal and second a few pastries. Will stay here again.

I should start with saying I pass Muleshoe on my business trips from time to time and since I usually check in at around 1am and back on the road by 8am, I just pick the cheapest option to lay my head. This time Irish Inn happened to be the cheapest so I gave it a shot. Step by step experience: - 1am check in experience was better than in the other local hotels. While the gentleman checking me in was a bit sleepy, he was very polite and professional, so I got the keys to my room - when I got to my room's door is was not locked (not wide open but the lock was in the unlocked state). this was the first piece in the string of experiences - none of which was terribly shocking (like finding a cockroach stories I heard from my colleagues staying in other hotels) but altogether created an overall sloppy experience - when I entered my room, 2 lamps were in the disassembles state - the stand was separated from the shade and the screw (the latter were sitting on the working desk and the armchair respectively). So I had to reassemble them - a 30 seconds task, but not the one hotel should delegate to its guests - the bed looked like it was not changed after the previous guest but no explicit signs that it was dirty - just a gut feel of someone who spent 200+ in the hotels over the last few years and knows how the fresh lines typically look like - so I went to bed - when I woke up next morning, I found a foreign coin next to my pillow - potentially supporting my gut feel that the bed was not changed after the last guest (as it's much easier to believe a guest accidentally dropped it there than to assume that a local maid accidentally dropped a foreign coin) - the bathroom experience pretty much met my expectations so not much to be said here - and finally when I arrived to the breakfast area, I found (a) a barber's chair just next to the counter with juices, bread etc. - while it looked clean it was unusual to see this chair next to the food area (b) the food was not arranged in a way convenient for the guests to pick it up - e.g. bread slices were still in the manufacturer's plastic bag stuck inside the mini-fridge. Again nothing serious - took me little efforts to remedy it but just unusual inconvenience compared to other local establishments I stayed at

Got stuck here in an unexpected winter storm. It was warm and dry. That was the best part. I walked in to register and they were doing some woman's eyebrows in the lobby. Not so appealing. No vending on site. Guest clothes dryer did not work well at all. 1.5 hours on high and clothes still weren't dry. Went to lobby for coffee following morning around 9 and there was no coffee. Like I said, it was warm and dry but it's always a put off for me if the owners live on premise and the smell of their Indian spices are overwhelming. It's ok in a storm, otherwise move in down the road.

We booked a room here. The decor was nice and the hotel was fairly new so everything was clean and nice. Our tv did not work at first, but the desk clerk came and fixed it quickly. The only negative I have is the free breakfast really was quite poor.
