I have traveled through Meridian many times throughout the years and had never noticed the motel, near the intersection, primarily because I had never planned to need one while there. On this particular trip, I was tired, and the motel was a welcome site. The clerk was friendly and helpful and the rates were fair. The rooms are a little odd, primarily because there are no outside windows in the front of the room, but it was comfortable and adequate for my one night stay. My biggest disappointment was the lack of a coffee maker in my room - and there are no decent restaurants open during the morning.

The newly owned and renovated American Inn in Meridian was a very nice surprise. When we walked through the door of the room, the fresh smell is the first thing we noticed. The rooms are very clean and pleasant with new beds and furnishings. If safety is a concern, they have had new electronic door locks and security cameras installed. It is in a great location; at the corner of Highways 6 and 22 just west of the beautiful Bosque County Courthouse in downtown Meridian. The great rates will leave you extra money to spend at one of the many good restaurants in Meridian or one of their nice retail stores.

I really enjoyed my stay here! My family stayed in one of the rooms that you could tell had been newly remodeled. They even had new beds! I especially liked having a coffee maker and refrigerator in the room. I parked our camper behind the hotel at one of the RV spots. It was very clean and level which are important to me. We had full hookups for 50A. The family loved that the property is right next to a goat farm! A real Texas farm country experience. Also, the customer service was great! I really feel like they cared about my family and wanted to make sure we were comfortable. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area.

We got to American Inn at 1 am. Honestly would not have stopped if it weren't for the good reviews. Room was very clean and most things newer. We really just slept there as our schedule was tight. We didn't use the shower but sink and toilet were new. Shower had not been redone, and as I said , I can't comment on it's function. I would not hesitate to stay again, if we ever had the need. Four stars only because it is a $55 motel and simple is what you get for that amount.

A nice clean place. The price isn't to bad. There is no breakfast but there is a
café no far away that serves a great breakfast. We enjoyed our stay. The management is nice and very attentive if you need anything!

Rooms were adequate & fairly recently updated. The tub was not usable for a bath as you could not stop it up to hold water. The patio door at the back of the room made us feel a bit unsafe. The glass of that door had a film all over it where it was too cloudy to look out. We felt it was not a great value as some of the larger chains for about $10 more. The couple running the Inn were very pleasant.

This is not a place with extras, The rooms were clean ( which is really important to me). The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked pretty well. The Hotel staff were friendly but a little hard to understand. They do have a laundry room, which was nice. The Pillows are not the greatest so you may want to bring your own. Our room did have a microwave and small refrigerator but if you are a coffee drinker, there is no coffee maker or coffee available. I used booking.com and it booked two nonrefundable rooms instead of 1 thankfully we needed another room for someone in our party. It popped up and said error on the booking and then I received 2 emails with different confirmation numbers. I did not double click nor did I have 2 rooms checked. I also was booking a King bed and got two queens. This did not matter to us but if someone needed the two queens you could have ended with 1 king. I would recommend calling the Inn directly to make your reservations. Beware the wifi is really slow if you are needing it for business. Overall it was great for the price and I would stay here again. If you're a hungry walk over to Clyde's barbeque, Great food, at a reasonable price, The owner and staff are so friendly.

Good clean rooms for a reasonable fair price, guest service is very nice , the parking lot could use better lighting, but needless to say I felt safe, next to a grocery store and subway restaurant.......

This is an old motel, but it is very clean and the bed was very comfortable. And the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only thing that would have made it better, they should put a coffee pot in room.
