Welcomed on arrival by the chef, who was expecting us. Pleasant welcome drink and evening meal in the hotel garden under the Catalpa trees. Our superior double room was nice and spacious, simply furnished with all that we needed. View to the front. They found space in their garage for our motorcycles. Alternatively m/c bays just over the main road;...

Warm welcome when I arrived with my folding bike and camping gear. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was spotless and well appointed albeit small. Bed was comfortable with beautiful smooth linen. How many thread counts do you ask? ? A lot I believe. Bathroom well appointed and good quality fixtures. Restaurant with wonderful food and the menu of the...

Stayed here for three nights this week and could not have been happier. The room was clean and well equipped. This logis is not a chain, but a charming local hotel with friendly owners. What made it even better was the restaurant. Bruno is an exceptional chef. The menus were diverse, but did concentrate primarily with local produce. The fois...

A modest but well located village inn a stone's throw from the Le Bugue market. Rooms are cramped and dated but those fronting out to the town square have capacious windows and quaint ambiance. Management was very accommodating to our late arrival. A great base camp for the history and culture of the Dordogne.

The location of this hotel is great. On the edge of an attractive town.Close to shops and bars etc. Upon arrival I was met by a guy who appeared not at all friendly.my French is not great but he understood everything and all I got as replies were single syllables. However,we had a very good spacious room. The restaurant and...

I picked this town and hotel in which to spend two weeks exploring the Perigord. The town turned out to be an excellent choice for it is central and yet not overly touristed. The hotel was ideal. It had a fine restaurant in which I ate more than a couple of meals. At first meeting, the hotel's proprietor was a...

We meet friends for dinner here in March 2015. Being off season, it was very quiet but we had a lovely experience. The waitress was very friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. The duck rillettes was excellent. Lovely find. We will be back.

Reception was very good despite me arriving quite late. Room very clean and warm, good bedding too, service great, good shower, good value for money. Self service breakfast with good choice of cereal, bread, viennoisserie and juice.

Le Bugue is a good site for that part of the Dordogne and the hotel is well sited just clear of the centre of town with its own carpark. It does need investment but what is there is adequate, clean, and the staff and patron charming and helpful. The restaurant is excellent.

We had a massive room for 4 of us directly above the reception. For sure it could do with a bit of modernisation but it was clean and perfect for our requirements. Parking (out of season) was easy across the road but may be a different story in the summer. We would certainly stay there again if we needed a...
