What was not to like? Beautiful decor, huge room, comfy beds, and all the staff were wonderful to us and so helpful each day as we headed out for adventures. The meals were very good, just wish it had different items every few nights.

I was here for a 2-day event, and really liked the place. The Chateau/castle has an 'old empire feel' to it, with lots of charm. Great places to sit outside, or dining in a 'dungeon' style cave. The rooms fit the style of the rest, and are good, but not extraordinary. The food is very good, but not exceptional -...

From the highway the Chateau looks great, like at the website. The reality is different, the whole place really needs an update. Ofcourse it has his charm and room 16 has a great view. But also chairs which belongs in a museum and an old bed what is really too short and too small. But the most disturbing was the...

Overrated, outdated and does not live up to 5 stars. Breakfast was amazing and everything else needs some major improvement. The hotel room was small and outdated. The bathrooms are old and were dirty. Unfortunately, we were there for a romantic weekend and it definitely did not deliver to our expectations.

Dear customer, Thank you for your stay at château d’Isenbourg. We are pleased that you enjoyed your breakfast. It seems when we read your post that you had just booked a standard room at the Pavillon instead of a superior or deluxe room in the castle for your romantic weekend, so it was not adapted to your high expectations. Your...

We have stayed in this castle hotel during 3 nights. We enjoyed our stay here with our children. We got a surprise for our children with two storks in the bed. The personnel are very nice. The castle decoration is very nice. Room service is perfect.

My husband and I stayed here for a night during our honeymoon. It was a beautiful property and the views of the town below and of the vineyards was amazing. We didn't use any of the amenities but there were plenty to take advantage of if you're going to be staying there for a few days. We highly recommend staying...

Dear Hannah, Thank you very much for your stay at Isenbourg Castle and for this excellent review on TripAdvisor. We are thrilled to know that the location and the style of our house were up to your expectations. It is true that our hotel offers breathtaking views over our vineyard, Rouffach and the black forest of Germany. Thank you for...

Positioned in the Rhain valley, the castle has really a great and romantic view over the Rouffach's roofs and vineyards. The rooms are spacey and in the spirit of romantic castles. Bathrooms though could get some face-lift. Breakfast is offering a lot of sweet, but I missed a usual offer of hot food such as bacon or scrambled eggs. As...

Dear Marketa, Thank you for your stay at Isenbourg castle. We are pleased to read your review on TripAdvisor and specially to know that you enjoyed our romantic views. Our rooms vary from 15 to 55 meter square and your remark concerning the bathroom is right. But as explained before we are still depending for our headquarter’s policy that allows...

The old Castle Isenbourg was stunning. We also loved the ancient interior architecture of the spacious room. Unfortunately, some of the staff could have been more helpful and with the dinner they tried to be too fancy. We thoroughly enjoyed the rich breakfast buffet with the incomparable view! x Mona

First of all the hotel is in a great setting, surrounded by vineyards. The building is lovely (picture attached). As a SLH member we got upgraded to a lovely room with a great view all the way to the alps. The service is excellent and reception was always there for any needs - plus a nice touch to give us...

We booked one of the packages and were given a comfortable room with fantastic view and all facilities. An exquisite vegetarian dinner was provided as requested. The staff were very helpful and after forgetting the welcome drink removed the charge for another drink. Only criticism: spa and pool are rather small - no comparison with German or Swiss 5 star...
