Rosewood Bermuda garners acclaim for its luxurious amenities, such as well-appointed rooms, diverse pools, and attentive beach services, though a few patrons mention overcrowding. The hotel's spotless environment, including pristine suites and beaches, often receives high praise from guests. Many revel in the spacious and opulent rooms, boasting large bathrooms and stunning views, enhanced by the inclusion of golf carts.
While the serene and beautiful atmosphere is widely appreciated, some guests encountered scheduling issues with activities. The staff's exceptional service is frequently lauded, although the cost of dining on-site is noted as steep by some visitors.

Detailed Reviews
We decided to take advantage of the locals rate offered at Rosewood for a staycation to celebrate my fiancés birthday.
Everything from check-in to check-out was smooth and carefree. The staff were friendly and helpful and paid special attention to Covid 19 regulations, offering hand sanitizer and wore mask.
The Island Brasserie Restaurant & The Tucker's Bar were both fantastic. We enjoyed room service breakfast which was rather reasonable.
The view from our room on the third floor was unobstructed & breathtaking!
We will definitely be returning soon :)

We spent 2 nights here to celebrate my birthday. We were very pleased with our room with a lovely view and appreciated the big soaking tub with bath salts, the Nespresso machine, the tea kettle with an assortment of teas. I was worried it wasn't a resort for children as we have 2 children aged 9 and 11 but we were pleasantly surprised that they had pools for the children and pools for adults and kids 13 and up.
The food was amazing and probably the best hotel food we have ever experienced in Bermuda. Room service arrived within 30 minutes and they accommodated our request for gluten-free pancakes and french toast. Our best meal was Sul Verde - everything was so fresh and full of flavor and again they were very accommodating with gluten-free options.
The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. These are not easy times as everyone adjusts during the pandemic but we always felt safe and really appreciated this quick get away. I would highly recommend Rosewood Bermuda but just wish we had stayed longer!

+1
We all need a break during a pandemic and choosing Rosewood was the best decision we could’ve made. They are taking Covid and the subsequent protocols very seriously and we as a family felt safe the entire time. From the front desk staff, to Cristian our waiter for room service and by the pool, Charlotte, Darian who drove us to dinner (hopefully spelling his name correctly), the pool attendants and Luca, every single member of staff go above and beyond. The food at Sul Verde and the Brasserie were amazing as well. Everywhere was adequately stocked with not only hand sanitizer but water as well because the heat in Bermuda August is no joke. I hope we can return soon for another five star experience.

My wife and I recently took a ten day vacation at the Rosewood. We chose the Rosewood to stay on Castle Harbor and allow some distance from downtown Hamilton. The resort is large and our daily activities involved an early breakfast and early departures to the beach or other adventure kept us interacting with the same 15 - 20 folks who had the same agenda timeline. Although masking was pretty universal on the property, we had fairly minimal engagement with a good portion of the guests. The beach club is beautiful with a long and wide soft sand beach and calm clear waters. The restaurants at the Rosewood reminded me of mid-priced hotel restaurants with limited and unchanging menus. One exception was the fresh fish we had for dinner at the Beach Club restaurant. The fish was fresh and perfectly grilled. It may be that simpler dishes are better executed by the chefs.
The hotel staff was almost exclusively congenial and engaging. Several volunteered that they had been working for Rosewood for a number of years and greatly enjoyed working for the group.
The resort physical plant is in good shape, but it also shows some wear and tear in placed. The beach chairs were frayed and the main hotel building is a bit dated and worn.
We greatly appreciated the hotel arranging day four and departure covid testing allowing us to avoid the 45 minute trip, each way, for the testing center at the Hamilton post office.
Unlikely we will stay here again. The experience of the stay was not particularly outstanding.

Dear HerbFlorida, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us at Rosewood Bermuda. We appreciate your feedback, especially the points with regards to the menu selection in our dining experiences, and the state of some of our furnishings. We are sharing this feedback with our resort team with the goal of refining and improving the maintenance and upkeep of the resort. Our team has already begun a cycle of maintenance to rooms and public areas as we exit the busier season, including the replacement of poolside room loungers, repainting, and deep cleaning of rooms and baths. While we respect your opinion that you felt the stay was not outstanding, we do hope to welcome you back for the opportunity to prove our commitment to delivering an excellent stay for all of our guests. Best regards, The Rosewood Bermuda Team

Experincing service at Four Seasons, St Regis , Shangri La and etc, Rosewood seems to be a holiday inn with a rating of no more then 3 star.
Reaching concierge is a challenge, response time is days. Upon arriving to hotel reception advises you that they also are the concierge. You have to chase staff to get anything, housekeeping needs a lot of improvement, basic things are being ignored.. Beach club lounges are old, service by the beach is below average, nobody from staff would come to check if they umbrella needs to be moved or if you need fresh towels, its a self service for a price of over $700/night, no water sport activities at the beach club as well.

Very disappointed with the service. During reservation, I have consulted with the reservations team in order to determine the appropriate room that fits my family and Gabriela provided very useful information that helped me decide the perfect room to book. However during checkin, instead of the Harbour view room that I have booked, I was given a Superior Room which was an upgrade according to front desk. The superior room did not only not have the harbour view that I wanted when booking but it did not have a view at all. To make it worse, the view was the entrance of the hotel and the nearby construction site. We have to close our curtains because the taxis outside the hotel can see us from the balcony. I asked to be moved to the room that I booked but they said such room was fully booked. I do not understand how they can guarantee a reservation but just bump you to the worst room in the hotel without asking and without any other compensation. We also did not receive any welcome drinks which was included in the reservation email. For the price of the room it did also include in room coffee. There were nespresso coffee pods but there was no machine! The room did not also have some basic vanity kit like cotton buds and I tried calling housekeeping multiple times to request but never got hold of them. The Palm Court Pool was also not very clean, I am not comfortable letting my daughter swim in it. During checkin, they asked if it was our first time in the hotel and we said yes but we were not given any information on what services they offer or where stuff are like the restaurant or how to go to the beach. The price and the market is for a high end hotel but the service is far from the other high end hotels I’ve been to. I am a traveller and a hotel addict and this is the first time I am giving a review just because of bad service. Overall, I don’t think the price you pay for the hotel is worth it. There are other newer hotels in the island (like Loren) with better service and better price too. I know because just this month, we have 4 hotel staycations and this is the only hotel that disappointed me.
To be fair, the have huge bathrooms, one of the most comfortable beds, great in room dining and poolside dining, and showers in the bathroom near the pool.

We arrived for our much anticipated vacation to Bermuda, fully aware of the COVID requirements for our stay. Upon arrival at the hotel, we knew there would be a quarantine period, but the hotel seemed ill prepared for our arrival. There was nothing in the mini bar, no welcome snack, no information about ordering food or cocktails. It would have been nice to have arrived in the room and had a note saying "Welcome to Bermuda, we are so glad you are with us- here is a complimentary bottle of wine for your quarantine, or your welcome cocktail will be delivered soon" instead, we were given a coupon to get our welcome cocktail in the bar(given that we could not leave our room, that was not an option) Given that the hotel was about a quarter full and noticing that we were the only room occupied on the hall, I would have thought they would be so happy to have customers! We had to order room service and it seemed they were unprepared for our situation, instead of being able to order a cocktail from the bar, we had to order all the ingredients and make it ourselves. We could not order from the restaurant menu, but from the limited Room Service menu. Additionally, we were not informed prior to our arrival that the beach club, conservatory bar, fitness center, spa, etc. were all either closed or unavailable to us while we were staying at the hotel. It would have been a nice gesture to either eliminate or reduce the "$48 Daily Resort Fee" since we had limited access to resort amenities. The first day we were able to get out, we realized that there was not a concierge, only the front desk and doorman were available to assist with issues, including the lack of housekeeping the first day. Everyone we dealt with was very nice, and trying to make the best of the situation, but it was obvious that they were short staffed. We had called to request maintenance because our thermostat in the room did not work, and the room was always extremely hot. Nobody ever showed up.
We had visited this hotel on a number of occasions when it was the Marriott Castle Harbor, and had good memories. However, this experience was not the 5 star service that we had expected and paid for. Should our travel plans bring us to Bermuda again, we will stay elsewhere.

Dear unhappytraveler1220, Thank you for taking the time to write about your stay with us. We are so sorry to see that your experience was disappointing, and we can see clearly that we failed to meet your expectations, with some unfortunate gaps in service, and communication. While services such as in-room arrival amenities and turndown have been reduced and modified to comply with current COVID restrictions, we regret that this was not better managed and communicated to you. While we understand that you likely would not return, we appreciate your feedback, as we strive to improve on our guest experiences, and we would be glad to welcome you back for the opportunity to earn back your trust and deliver the experience you should have had on your initial stay with us. We apologize once again for not delivering an experience worthy of the memories you once had at this property. Our team will be contacting you further as we hope to understand how we can make things right for you. Sincerely, Sascha Hemmann Managing Director, Rosewood Bermuda

I have stayed at many Rosewood properties and never been disappointed before. I have to say, the Rosewood Bermuda is a beautiful property and the island is wonderful but the staff and level of service I received at this Rosewood property was way below expectations. The staff were generally rude and very unresponsive to requests. I got the feeling they were annoyed that there were guests at the resort. Multiple times when I asked to make dinner reservations they hemmed and hawed at how they might not be able to fit me in, and then when they did we were literally the only people in the restaurant. Similarly when I asked to make a tee time on the golf course I received the same response. When they “moved mountains to apparently fit me in”, I played and didn’t see another person on the course for the entire round. I think some updated training of the staff on friendliness and responsiveness to guests would go a long way for this resort. Simple things like bottles of water being in the room would be great. Also when you don’t stock the guest rooms with anything to drink perhaps don’t have a minimum of $100 required to place a room service order. I’d suggest the GM visit some other Rosewood properties to observe how their staff interact with guests and provide the Rosewood Bermuda staff with some updated training.

Stayed for 1 week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a great location, with plenty of amenities to keep everyone busy or just lounge on the beach or by the pool. Beds are super comfy, views from our room was spectacular. Food was very good everywhere on the property. Beach is awesome! The rooms have refrigerators and Nespresso machines.
The standout to this hotel are the people. The service was friendly AND efficient… very good service at the pools, on the beach, the bartenders, doormen, shuttle driver, and Josh Smith, one of the managers. Everyone was lovely and very hard working. We hardly ever waited for the shuttle for more than 5 minutes….and it always came. Food and drinks by the pool and beach came quickly…
The on site Covid testing was was convenient, well run and organized, and complimentary (included in our resort fee). You don’t have to go all the way to Hamilton and stand in line…you are assigned a time with just a few other people. We were done in 10 minutes.
They have an on-site water supports center with complimentary kayaks and SUPs. They also have a twice weekly swizzle cruise and a snorkel cruise….every day they have a something you can choose to attend.
From my seat on the plane, to the lobby of the hotel was 40 minutes…and that included getting checked luggage, clearing customs, getting a Covid test, and the taxi ride. So convenient.
Already planning a trip back in the spring!

I reviewed this property a few years ago and just returned from a stay in September with my wife. I was very impressed with the level of services they are offering in the middle of the Covid crisis, particularly relative to other hotels I've stayed at in recent months. Everything except the fitness center is available -- by Bermuda law the fitness center is only available to travelers who have been in Bermuda for 8 days or more so that would eliminate it for most people, but not due to any fault of the hotel. Food service is restricted in the main part of the hotel; dinners are not served there, and most days of the week no bars are open past 4pm. However we were able to order drinks from room service and have them delivered to the public seating areas so that was not a big problem.
Otherwise, the Rosewood has a number of compelling advantages over other luxury properties in Bermuda:
1) Great rooms and public areas. The rooms are spacious, with great beds, bathrooms, and outdoor spaces. All the luxury amenities you'd expect are offered, including in-room Nespresso.
2) The best hotel beach in Bermuda. The beach is both wider and longer than most other hotel beaches, with plenty of room for people to spread out. Service at the beach was generally quite good even during Covid.
3) Nice public spaces (both indoor and out).
4) Relatively central location making it easy to get to Hamilton and most other places.
5) A "Bermuda" feel, particularly relative to the Loren, which feels like it belongs in Miami Beach. When you are at the Rosewood you know you are in Bermuda; it has a sense of place that not all properties here offer.
The service was, overall, significantly better than on my last stays. When we made requests, they were quickly and efficiently honored. The style of service is not as proactive as what you'd get in a luxury hotel in Asia or even the Caribbean; you need to ask rather than expect to be offered, but when you do ask, the responses are fine.
Bermuda is, during Covid, one of the few places outside the US that Americans can safely and easily visit. We are already planning a return stay for later this year.

Good Morning,
The weather will be cool and unpredictable i. e. 60's and 70's (That is cool for Bermudians). If it is sunny it is lovely to sit on the beach and you may even be tempted to test the water, go for it! Great for golf. My husband plays weekly at Rosewood throughout the winter months. Climate is definitely great for golf and tennis. You will need a jacket.
