We first came here 36 years ago for our honeymoon and wondered whether we would find the same magic. We were not disappointed. Staff were all exceptionally welcoming and friendly. Our dog-friendly room was cosy and very well equipped. Sitting areas were abundant and comfortable and the modern dining room had lovely views and very good, gastro-pub food featuring local ingredients. The bar is the island pub so guests get to feel part of the community. We enjoyed a ceilidh band and Euro 2020 on TV on successive nights. Another highlight was a visit to Colonsay House - a very good café and stunning gardens, all for £3. We were left wondering why we had waited so long to revisit.

We were wonderfully well looked after by Manager David and his friendly and efficient staff, the hotel is very comfortable with lovely view from our bedroom and very well appointed light and airy public rooms (kept spotlessly clean). The food was also excellent - cant wait to go back

We very much enjoyed our 3 night stay in the hotel. We were in the room Rudh Dubh which is small but has a fabulous view to the harbour and neighbouring islands. The staff were professional, friendly and very accommodating. The bar has several lounges to relax in, and the gardens are lovely to sit in when the sun is shining. The food in the restaurant was of a very high standard. We would return.

This is a lovely hotel. Very clean, well run and the staff are very helpful. I'd definitely stay here again. It has a nice little bar and lots of outdoor seating on nice days with a view down to the harbour. It also has a few comfy lounges for sitting in if the weather isn't nice.

Just returned from 4 nights at The Colonsay. We have stayed there many times and it's a welcoming place to come back to after exploring the island. Great food and service. Our stay was made even more memorable with the addition of live music in the bar. We will be back!
