Nice situated hotel, close to the impressive Monasteria of El Escorial. Hotel was old style glamour but rooms were nicely redone and very comfortable. Nice view on the parc from the Breakfast area. A pity that Spanish hotel staff does not always master english which is a hurdle for practical conversations.

Just an overnight stay in a junior suite great location and staff. Breakfast a little disappointing but adequate enough. Close to the Monastery and good safe parking Worth staying here if you are travelling south from Santander it's an easy drive from the ferry

I stay here often, and find the rooms comfortable and fairly quiet. Off season prices are very reasonable. Superior rooms have more amenities and better view but not necessarily more space. If you face town you will hear children from the school across the road but with windows closed it is not bothersome. Have eaten in the restaurant and food...

El Escorial is a small town that the people of Madrid escape to in the heat of summer. It has a number of very good restaurants, and is attractive and pleasant in the summer. In winter it is freezing cold; there was snow on the ground when I was there. It gets dark early, and the restaurants are largely empty...

El Escorial is a magic place, a must visit. I usually avoid NH Hotels unless I have no other option. I was invited for a seminar here. The hotel is a run down Palace. The rooms are spartians and plastic looking like a Novotel (a poor brand with whom NH competes obviously). The building "amenities" are depressing. Food at breakfast...

Decent location close to heart of town, eateries and Monastery entrance. Rooms facing south have great views and the Front desk very helpful and attentive. Carmen was our restaurant server and she was personable and above and beyond efficient! Close to everything (except taxi needed to train station if you have luggage it is quite a hike!) if you are...

Breakfast and location were great. Room service was not available until 9:00 (Spanish Custom. I am American.) We were working from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. When we got to the hotel wanted to shower, eat and go to bed. Also, one night there was a very loud party on my floor that made it hard to sleep.

El Escoreal in Autumn is very impressive. Red and yellow trees, beatiful vews, empty city and Monasterio. Everything for late tourists. Large and glorious Palace hotel work only for few visitors. Very peaceful and comfortable.

One visits El Escorial for the Monastery, the Basilica and the charming town which surrounds the sights. This is one of the icons of Spanish royalty and well worth a visit. Choosing a hotel is secondary to the experience. The Victoria Palace appears to be a hundred years old or more. The building is in the style of traditional grand...
