The rooms were cramped but clean, the shower warm with a good jet, the WiFi terribly inconsistent. The staff were not friendly, we hardly ever saw them. The hotel doesn't have a great view, there's not a lot going for it. If you're on a budget, it's perfectly ok, but there are better hotels for more money by the lake...

We have booked in this hotel via internet. This Hotel is overpriced, the customer service is poor, rooms are not clean and we did not felt safety. In the day time there was nobody in the reception. As we did not feel any safety we decided to change hotel immediately. Also in this Hotel they try to overcharge customers for...

We left our key at the front desk for our room to be cleaned while we were visiting Tikal. Returned to an uncleaned room and missing $500 US dollars from our room. DO NOT TRUST!

We spent 2 night at the hotel. The hotel is located in an inner street building, with few floors of rooms and no view. The room was simple, with double bed, closet and TV. Private bathroom and hot water of good quality. Breakfast was not included, but the food of the restaurant was good. The crew was very nice and...

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel in June 2011 for two nights. The hotel was very quiet and empty when we arrived. The staff was hanging around in the reseption and looked annoyed when we arrived. When we left the key in the reseption to the manager to go out for dinner, the key was lying at the...

“Very comfortable and well located. The staff is extremely helpfull, Ramon is the best one for advice and solve anything you want, he went with me at 5am to arrange a tour to Tikal, the tour was excellent, good transport and guide at the ruins. The hotel has a restaurant with tasty food, the room was very clean, with tv,...

This hotel has an old and stately feel to it -- the rooms are simple, clean, and comfortable -- and was the first place we stayed with air conditioning (which is a huge plus in Flores, because it gets hot!). Try to get a room with a balcony, or next to a balcony ... we were close by, and grabbed...

I did not mind this place at all. It was clean, the concierge was very helpful. After we had checked out, they let us rent our room again for a few hours to get out of the heat before our night-bus to Guatemala City left. I would recommend spending the extra few Q to get the air-conditioning because it was...

This place is an old-timer and offers a good option for a couple of nights sleep...we stayed on the third floor in an air con room for $30/night. The location is good, although Flores is small and so everywhere is within walking distance. The staff are reasonably friendly, a water dispenser is in reception for guest use and the hotel...

I stayed at Hotel Mesa de los Mayas for 1 night with a group of 12 other educators in tow, the night before most flew back to Guatemala City and home and a few of us headed east into Belize. We were happy with the smallish, clean rooms, hot showers, ac, and helpful staff. The location is good but road...
