My husband and I stayed here last night, 2/27/17. The Cactus Inn is a step back in time to experience what the Route 66 traveler probably enjoyed on their journey. Although our room was thoroughly updated with all the modern amenities you've come to expect, the atmosphere was still of a simpler time. We were pleased to see a full...

This is a typical Route 66 original motel in a typical route 66 "ghost town". We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and included a fridge and microwave. Perfectly comfortable and characteristic of the era. It did have free WiFi though. We booked ahead by phone. No credit card needed. Lovely people. We enjoyed the town which is...

The place needs some money spent on it but for 66 travellers its part of the experience so at $49 a night, don't expect the Hilton. Bed not the most comfortable and we couldn't sleep. Door didn't lock properly and we found a pair of ladies underwear under the chair cushion. There's not a lot to choose from in the...

The sheets were clean. That's about all the good I have to say. We got in late (past 9:00), then hustled over to the gas station/diner for a burger. Which was very good with the tutor tots. Getting back to the room after 10:00 we couldn't get the tv to change channels so no cable. The network name was misspelled...

This place offered a good price. The rooms were clean but need updating. There was a microwave and TV. The tap on the shower broke and the bathroom door had been damaged so it didn't close properly. Some money needs to be spent on this place to renew the decor and fittings. Next to a steak house which was useful....

Very comfortable furniture, friendly staff, and homey feel. There are minimal amenities, but they do offer free wifi and have tv, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. At $45. - it was a fantastic deal. The best part was that there's a really good steakhouse next door, Red River Steakhouse, and I had the best steak of my life there. 8oz...

We didn't do any research on McLean because we did not plan on coming through. We are on motorcycles and hit rain. All day long. We just needed to pull over. To my surprise, it's pretty much a ghost town. This motel was our only hope. Now, it's very old and outdated in many respects, but it was clean. The...

My son and I spent one night here (reserved in advance but no credit card required - how cool is that). Lady at the front desk was super sweet and helpful. Room was big and comfortable. Pillows were a little flat (but there were extra pillows) and the art work on the wall left a little to be desired but...

The inn was inexpensive and clean. Bed ok but glad I brought my own pillow. The issue was the door, it would not stay locked. Had to put a chair against it to keep it closed due to winds. Felt a bit exposed. The room never cooked enough for me. The shower was hot but hard to adjust the temperature....

Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were large, clean and comfortable and very reasonably priced. Great steakhouse next door. We had an older tv but our friends next door had a new flat screen. Loved the rugs in the bathroom and the western decor in the rooms. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.
