The Inn is an older property that has been remodeled and is comfortable. It is reasonable and in a town that is small and is safe. There are a number of restaurants in the area. It is worth considering, if cost is a consideration. I have stayed here twice and would do so again.

My husband & I were in Mason for a wedding weekend & unfortunately Hill Country Inn was the only hotel in town, which was where the wedding party blocked rooms. So let's start with the positives: -Reception/Front Desk seemed friendly-ish (more on this further down) -walking distance to town square -flat screen tv And now for the cons: First room,...

Stayed here in June 2015 while visiting my wife's family in the area. It was clean and comfortable. Open site layout was reminiscent of so many road-trip vacations I took as a kid. Staff is very friendly but it seems it is limited so you might have to wait a minute for service at the front desk or a call...

My husband and I stayed here along with our two small daughters over Memorial Day weekend. We spent three nights here. The hotel is an older hotel but the lady who manages the office was super nice and the room was surprisingly kept up nice. New paint, new carpet, new ac and TV. Room also had a refrigerator and a...

We read the other reviews and were skeptical in staying here. We decided to give it try because the reviews were old. We found a freshly painted room, clean carpet, a good air conditioner and a good bed with clean sheets. We were very pleased. It is an older motel but it appears that the owners are making a very...

Was in Mason on a spontaneous trip to go dig for Topaz. I did not know that the Ranch where we wanted to dig only took people out once a day and the other Ranch required you to stay in their cabins so we chose Hill country Inn. price for a Saturday night King bed was 69.00. The room had...

It's an older motel in a small town. It wasn't terrific, but I didn't find it as bad as the earlier reviewers. Maybe management has improved. Everything worked and the room was clean. Probably a little pricey for the quality, but there isn't much choice in Mason.

Went to Mason on a hunting trip. Certainly didn't expect anything fancy, but a at least expected clean. Filthy, filthy, filthy. Made reservations for 2 rooms, 3 days before arrival. Upon arrival, NO RECORD of reservations!! Later that day, relatives found a nice HUGE cockroach specimen in their tub (see photo below). Tubs were absolutely filthy in both rooms. Went...

This is the most nasty, disgusting motel ever. The room smelled of bug spray, there was crumbs on floor and when I went back and voiced my concerns to management, she just sighed and handed me keys to another room, without so much as checking it or apologizing for the inconvenience. At least this one didn't smell like the first...

We had to clean the bathroom before we could use it. The shower was filthy. The toilet would not flush. This place has gotten worse since the new owner took over. She has no clue. We will never stay here again.
