The Paisano is an older hotel built in the early 1900's. There is an elevator shaft but the elevator has not worked in years. The rooms are up a substantial stair case and you get to lug your own luggage. Our room was nice, quaint and large. Good TV and the bed was adequate but a little on the soft...

If you are looking for a souvenir of your trip to Marfa this is a great little shop. The woman behind the counter was very helpful and friendly. We will think about staying in the hotel next time. We came to see the small collection of items related to the movie shot in Marfa: Giant.

My husband stayed at The Hotel Paisano, for one night, on a road trip to San Antonio, Texas. We were pleasantly surprised to find it clean, well appointed, comfy (the bed was perfect!) and quiet. I can't tell you how many moderately expensive hotels we've stayed in that were noisy! We didn't hear a peep from the hallway or other...

We spent two nights in late April at the Hotel Paisano while immersing ourselves into the total Donald Judd/Marfa experience. We stayed in room 234 which is a very large and comfortable suite that could easily serve as an apartment. The suite includes a large living room with two separate seating areas, full kitchen, dining area large enough to throw...

I wish I could only write “I loved it!” But it asks for 200 letters. The Paisano offers a boutique feeling for a reasonable price. Rooms are small, which I expected since it's an older building. Our bedroom was well kept and clean, loved the outdoor fireplace in our room. Marfa was an oasis in the middle of nowhere, will...

I liked the hotel, but we had a very small room. I should have reserved a bigger one. The hotel is attractive, has a nice restaurant, and features an attractive outdoor patio. It is the best hotel in Marfa, an artistic gem in the middle of the plains. The movie, "Giant", was filmed there. the staff of the hotel were...

Quirky place in a quirky town. The staff were very friendly. Note there is hardly any place to get lunch in Marfa including the hotel. If you arrive hungry it may take a while to find food. The room was comfortable with a nice balconette looking over the courtyard. I was underwhelmed with Marfa compared to other little towns we...

Hotel Paisano offers a great location with historic spirit in which to experience all of Marfa. For those on an arts pilgrimage visiting the Judd and Chinati Foundations, this hotel is a good central location and you can easily walk to your Judd Foundation tours. As many have stated, it is a step back in time once you enter the...

Take a step back in time as you enter through heavy glass and rod-iron doors under stained glass windows. The tiled hall beacons you to a beautiful lobby adorned with old plaster columns, fresh flowers, local art, and faded photos of the cast of 'Giant'. The cast stayed in this very hotel during the filming of the movie in 1956....

The Paisano is a throwback to another era. No phone in the room, no cookie-cutter rooms that look exactly the same….it’s all about personality & character. Designed by Trost & Trost, one of the Southwest’s most prominent architect’s in the 20’s & 30’s, the building is a gem. Rooms may not be the most-up-to-date, but that’s not what you come...
