Movie buffs that we are, the Hotel Paisano offered us the chance to interact with history – it is the hotel where film stars Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson and James Dean stayed while filming the epic “Giant” nearby – so I gave into temptation and booked the Rock Hudson suite as a birthday surprise for my husband. The suite has...

I have stayed in "nostalgic" hotels that could be best described as "less than pleasant." The Paisano was a very good combination of the two. Very nice room and nice staff. The only caveat I would share is the fact that there does not appear to be an elevator. I did over hear the desk clerk offer assistance to carry...

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and each time I've been very happy. The suite rooms are quite spacious and beds extremely comfortable. This is a well maintained older hotel, very clean with lots of charm! I prefer it to many modern properties. The older bathrooms, while not large, are just fine. I don't think there's an elevator...

This is a comfortable and atmospheric hotel. Right in town with friendly staff. But the breakfast is terrible - only premade burritos and coffee that could have been yesterday's dishwater. Go elsewhere for breakfast. We didn't try the St George but would if there is a next time.

Stayed 3 nights during Christmas weekend. We had Room 205, a great suite with private patio, full kitchen, nice seating room and a bedroom with a comfy king bed and spacious bathroom. The architecture of this lovely vintage hotel is worth the stay. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The staff were more than accommodating and friendly. We chose this hotel...

Stayed for one night while on the way to Big Bend - it is a beautiful old hotel. The sister to the El Capitan in Van Horn. The stain glass in the rooms are gorgeous! The only downside is some of the furniture is a little worn and there is no elevator. It is only 2 stories but for those...

Although staying only one night in Marfa the Hotel Paisano was well worth the visit. It is famous for being a place that the movie cast of the movie GIANT stayed during it's filming in the 1950's. Our room was decked out with a King bed, comfortable chairs, and was just plain roomy, comfortable, and clean. Nor much is happening...

The room had a mini-kitchen, very comfortable bed and a modern bath with tub. The room had a small balcony that opened onto the entry area, which has a fountain. The staff were charming and helpful. The bellman hiked bags up to the second floor (no elevator.) Dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent, especially the CFS, which was not...

We visited the hotel a little over a year ago but were unable to stay overnight. This time we were able to stay over and were actually bumped to a suite. Lots of films are made in the area and many times the crew stays at this hotel. So, they needed our room and we had a fabulous suite with...
