It's calming, refreshing and peaceful garden that you don't expect in the Texas "desert" - you really feel you can relax among flowers - the smell is rejuvenating. Several places to sit and relax, read, have a cup of tea/coffee. Even sit around a fire and the night sky is wide open to view the stars. Rooms are comfortably unique...

We'd been to Big Bend National Park and were on our way to San Antonio, so Marathon was the natural place to stay for a night. Everyone - staff and guests - were really friendly and helpful. It was a rainy day on our stay, so we sat in the covered garden - beautiful colours and smells - and enjoyed...

We stayed here for three nights on a trip to Big Bend. The breakfasts were healthy and delicious, the room was comfortable, and the colorful greenhouse beckoned me to sit in it for hours breathing in the oxygen-rich air and smelling the flowers. Many of the ingredients for breakfast (including year-round tomatoes!) were grown in the greenhouse. The only drawback...

If you are traveling to Big Bend and wish to stay somewhere other than an old motel, the park lodgings, or a prominent old hotel in Marathon, without question you should stay here. The centerpiece of the property is a greenhouse filled with thriving plants and flowers, and rooftop terraces offer excellent views of the dark sky. Kate's breakfasts are excellent...

We have been watching the ever growing, ever evolving construction of this turquoise structure for years as we passed thru Marathon onto Big Bend. Last September we finally decided to check out this place, Eve's Garden. Made entirely from paperkrete and painted a riot of colors, this bed and breakfast is like no other~every part of it, every nook and...

Kate's B&B was an amazing gem in Marathon. It's close enough to Big Bend but far enough away to escape. It's colorful, quaint, welcoming, special and quirky. It's very clean and so many hidden nooks and crannies. Kate is an amazing and gracious host. The coffee was delicious and the breakfast was unlike anything we have ever had. So much...

If you've read any of my reviews, you know I tend to like quirky over chain accommodation-but only when the quirky option "works". Eve's Garden most definitely works. Permit me to take a step back: between Christmas and New Years my wife and I decided to stay in Marathon Texas as a stepping off point for hiking in Big Bend...

We stayed at this lovely, very unique b&b for 2 nights now. Right from the moment we pulled up we loved this place. The entire b&b is painted in fantastic colors which you can see from down the street. I understand that the blocks that were used to build the rooms are made from recycled paper (which is awesome!). In...
