This property was the old Four Seasons resort and now a Marriott Ritz Carlton. The front desk advised they will be undergoing a major renovation soon. Until then, even with rooms that are a little dated decor-wise, the property still provides a first class experience from room comfort and cleanliness to the friendly and accommodating front desk to their in-room dining experience. I made two separate last minute reservations and ended up with upgraded rooms both times. The front desk was really helpful with my late check out requests. In-room dining for breakfast was fresh, nice portions and able to make substitutions with ease. If you need to be in Irving, TX for work or pleasure, this is still the place to be for a stay with a nice touch of luxury.

Fantastic venue for a wedding! Can’t say enough good things about this resort. The service was impeccable, the amenities amazing. We realise they will be undergoing a massive transformation in the coming year and they will soon be a Ritz Carlton property. We just hope they retain their excellent staff and the wonderful ambiance.
So much to do here! Between the pool and the golf and tennis, gym and spa, there is something for everyone.
Our room was large and had a tiny balcony overlooking the pool; bed was super comfy, pillows perfectly squishy. Towels were replenished in a timely manner……and an illuminated makeup mirror too! (The one amenity that makes it breaks it for me LOL)
We really felt appreciated and pampered this weekend, so thank you.

Had a great experience staying for a weekend with my dog! We stayed in a villa, which is a great option when traveling with a pet as we could walk right out the sliding door to the grass outside.

Saturday I had two spa services booked; fantastic service from start to finish and was encouraged to take my time enjoying the sauna/cold plunge after my services.

I ordered 3 room service meals (2 dinners and a breakfast)-unfortunately forgot to get a photo of my salmon dish, which was probably in the top 3 room service meals I’ve ever had, and we travel frequently.

Looking forward to booking another stay in the summer when the renovations are complete and outdoor pool is open!

Ownership changed from Four Seasons and the spa was terrible. More expensive, diminished services, and all electronic devices are banned, even a kindle to read a book. They just want you to pay and leave, vs the Four Seasons encouraged you to enjoy the locker room, have lunch, and relax. Not the new ownership! They don’t have a clock, but don’t dare look on your phone for the time. Plenty of other spas in this area who treat their customers better.

Dear KellyJMcG, Thank you for taking the time to share candid feedback about your recent experience in The Spa and Salon. Please accept my sincerest apologies for any confusion around the electronic device policy in the Spa wet areas. They are strictly prohibited due to guest privacy concerns. Our primary goal is to provide no less than 5-star experiences, and we take your comments very seriously. I know you spoke with the Spa Manager, but please know that I have followed up with the Spa Director as well to ensure the proper Spa Policy signage is posted in all Spa common areas and visible to guests. If I can be of further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly. Sincerely, Jane Kim Resort Manager The Las Colinas Resort jane.y.kim@lascolinasresortdallas.com

We booked a special rate which included a $200 spa credit per night. At check out there was some confusion and we were not given the credit. After going back and forth, were assured it was corrected and we would be emailed the receipt. The next day we received it and we were still charged the extra $400. We have tried multiple times to reach someone and have not been able to do so. Do not leave without the receipt in person.

Otherwise the resort was dated, but nice. Beautiful grounds. We usually stay at the Crescent and really thought we had found a new place but with the dishonesty on the charges we will not be back.

Dear Flyer302655, Please accept my sincerest apologies for the confusion about our Spa package. This is not the 5-star service we are known for, and we take your comments and guest experience very seriously. I personally connected with the department leader to find the resolution to this glitch, and I was glad to learn that the adjustment was made to reflect the correct credits. If you need anything additional, please do not hesitate to contact me. It was a pleasure to have you at The Las Colinas Resort, and we hope to welcome you back again in the future. I booked the hotel through the Four Seasons and then found out that ownership had changed. It was to be a staycation for 2 nights over Christmas when my son was visiting. I was concerned when I learned that it was now a Marriott. I spoke to Marcus, the front desk manager and he assured me that it was to be a Ritz Carlton. I have traveled the world and stayed at Four Seasons and Ritz Carltons and always have been very pleased by the high standard of service. I can't wait to spend Christmas at the resort. My son and I always go to the holiday brunch when he is in town for Thanksgiving and/or Christmas. We are going at 11 am so that we can take pictures of the desserts before they are disturbed - they have high heel shoe desserts! Thank you Marcus!

We knew going into this trip that the hotel was undergoing a renovation, but we had no idea that the rooms had not been updated since the mid 80s? While the property is beautiful and the grounds are lovely, the un renovated rooms are not comfortable at all. While they do have renovated rooms, there were none available. Disappointing to say the least. When the property is listed as a Four Seasons (converting to a Ritz Property), one expects better luxury than this.

This hotel and staff do not yet know how to be a Ritz Carlton. I made calls in advance to try and upgrade and promised return calls never came. Onsite visits to front desk never got promised return calls. It took four calls/visits to front desk to even get answers. I did get a modest room upgrade but questionable it's value given time spent to acquire it.

The rooms are nice but have serious design flaws. The two most egregious are:

1. Cannot watch TV from the bed. It has a sort of L shape and you can only fully see it from the couch. They should have reversed bed and couch positions.

2. Lighting. It is bad. It's impossible to have just a reading light on in bed. Choices are dark or reading light plus an up light behind the bed that is quite bright and a light over the coffee/minibar setup. No option to just have a reading light. It's unpleasant.

They did install new convenient plugs with USB and USB C plugs, but they didn't work on either side of the bed. Only the regular outlet did. This is a wiring flaw that if repeated on both outlets in this room, could be widespread in hotel.

The food is mediocre. Better than average Marriott but not up to Ritz standards.

Lastly, There is construction / major landscaping going on. It appears that the pool is closed. I didn't try to go in but never saw anyone there and has construction all around it. So check if this is important to you.

I really loved the reviews and it looked great. My bed squeaked all night. I finally put my earbuds in. I got up for my 1st visit to the bathroom and a roach ran across the floor. I killed it with my shoe then called the front desk. They apologize but I just couldn’t make myself get in the bed. I slept on top of the covers and used my blankets from the car for the rest of my 2day stay.

I loved that they are pet friendly. My puppy was with me for the trip. I asked the front desk to come to my room so they could see what I was talking. The desk was aware that it had happened. But when she came to my room she was more concerned about had I paid my pet deposit and where was my door hanger showing there was a pet in the room. She took a picture and said they would refresh my room.

I am not sure if I will visit there again. I look a picture for my personal reference but I won’t share it here with this review.

Excellent! Stayed for one night. The rooms are large, clean, and well appointed. The service is outstanding with a staff who is very friendly and helpful. You can’t pass a staff member with out them saying hello or offering to help. It’s a lovely resort with golf and a big pool area. Concierge was excellent, especially Aaron (thank you). Conveniently located walking distance from a grocery store which is great for families or if you need something. We really enjoyed our stay, I highly recommend it.
